NETWORK ACCESS CONTROL
A network access control method includes obtaining network information of an electronic device, determining, using the network information, whether the electronic device needs to use a first access point name (APN) network channel, and generating a network channel switching instruction in response to determining that the electronic device needs to use the first APN network channel. The network channel switching instruction instructs to switch the electronic device from a second APN network channel to the first APN network channel. The second APN network channel has access to more network resource addresses than the first APN network channel.
Notification apparatus, notification system, notification method, and program
A notification apparatus includes: an obtaining unit that obtains information on a use of a first mobile communication network when a mobile communication terminal configured to use selectively one of a first identifier and a second identifier which are assigned to the first mobile communication network and the second mobile communication network, respectively so as to perform a communication currently connects to the second mobile communication network using the second identifier; and a notifying unit that notifies the information obtained by the obtaining unit to the mobile communication terminal via the second mobile communication network.
Data constrained resource access
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for managing data deliver for data constrained user devices. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a user device, requests for resources. For each of the requests, determining whether the user device is currently subject to a data constraint for receiving data responsive to the request. For each request for which the user device is determined to be subject to the data constraint, provide data that causes the user device to display a prompt to choose whether a resource responsive to the request is to be provided in the unrestricted data form or a restricted data form. A resource can be provided in an unrestricted data form has a first data size and provided in a restricted data form has a second data size that is less than the first data size.
Functions and method for handling a credit pool of service units
The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a Control Plane (CP) function for handling a credit pool comprising granted service units to be used by multiple services. The multiple services are grouped in at least one first Rating Group (RG). The CP function creates an individual Usage Reporting Rule (URR) for each of the at least one first RG. Each individual URR comprises a first credit pool threshold. The CP function provides the individual URRs to a User Plane (UP) function. The CP function creates a Usage Reporting Rule for the Credit Pool (URR CRPL). The URR CRPL comprises instructions to the UP function to aggregate service unit usage for all individual URRs for all first RGs. The URR CRPL further comprises the first credit pool threshold. The CP function provides the URR CRPL to the UP function.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF RESTRICTING DATA USAGE AT A PLURALITY OF NETWORK DEVICES
Methods and systems for sharing data usage by a plurality of SIM cards at a plurality of network devices are disclosed. Each of the plurality of network devices is capable of housing at least one SIM card from the plurality of SIM cards. The method comprises the steps of determining the total data usage allowance. A remaining total data usage allowance is determined by either retrieving it from a carrier server or by subtracting aggregated data usage information from the total data usage allowance. The method further comprises restricting use of one or more of the plurality of SIM cards when the remaining total data usage allowance is below a first threshold until the remaining total data usage allowance is above the first threshold. The total data usage allowance is changed to a first value periodically or according to an administrator's instruction.
Charging method, charging device, charging system, and authentication device
Embodiments of the present application provide a charging method, a charging device, a charging system, and an authentication device. According to the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application, when the available service volume of the user is not enough at the time close to the tariff switch point, the operation of forcing a user to go offline may be performed selectively, depending on the specific situation. Therefore, the operation of forcing a user to go offline can meet requirements of increasingly complicated charging policies of the operator.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACTIONABLE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
A computer-implemented method for generating secondary notifications, the method including receiving a message; generating a primary notification of the message; updating a priority associated with the message; determining that the updated priority exceeds a threshold; and responsive to determining that the updated priority exceeds a threshold, generating a secondary notification, the secondary notification being distinct from the primary notification.
Charging method and device
A charging method includes: determining, by a control plane function entity (CP), that a data flow that is transmitted by user equipment (UE) on a first data session needs to be migrated to a second data session; charging, by the CP, the data flow on the first UP through a first charging session between the CP and a charging system; obtaining, by the CP, charging information of the data flow before the migration that is counted by the first UP; and determining, by the CP, a quota that is used for the data flow after the migration is necessary to be delivered to the second UP, and delivering the quota to the second UP, thereby charging a service data flow of a user in a case of migration between user planes.
Reliably communicating information associated with mobile device accounts
A computing platform enables the reliable delivery of message data (e.g., virtual airtime credits) into the accounts of mobile device users. The computing platform facilitates a large network of integrations (communication channels) with mobile network operators and reseller, preferably via a statistically-based message routing technique that uses a continuously updated estimate of the probability that a particular request over each integration will succeed. Requests are then routed over an integration picked using this information; if the request fails, the attempt is then retried using another integration until either it succeeds or the system believes the request will never succeed. The success or failure of each request is also used to update the probability estimate, preferably continuously, so that the system adjusts automatically as the reliability of each integration changes over time.
ACCESS NODE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING USER ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND TO TELEVISION
A client device receives, from a user, a request to connect to a medium. The client device sends a request to a server to inquire whether a sufficient amount of credits is stored in an account for the user. The client device then receives a response to the inquiry. If the user account contains at least one credit, a connection is established between the client device and the medium. The server receives, from a controlling terminal, account information for the user, and a list of activities for reporting by the user. This information is stored in the user account. Credits are also stored in the user account. A report related to a performance of an activity part of the list of activities is received from the client device of the user. In response to receiving the report, the number of credits is incremented in the user account.
