An insert-and-twist building block structure includes a connection bar and a connection terminal unit. The connection bar has an end from which a combination projection section extends and has a conic shape. The combination projection section has an external circumferential surface formed with a bead ring including multiple raised beads intermittently arranged in a ring configuration. The connection terminal unit includes a connection terminal having an end inward recessed to form a combination cavity in a conic shape. The combination cavity has an internal circumferential surface formed with a groove ring including multiple recessed grooves intermittently arranged in a ring configuration. The recessed grooves each a middle portion forming a deep trough section and two ends each forming a shallow trough section, and a depth is decreased from the deep trough section toward the shallow trough sections.

System and method for a three-dimensional puzzle set, with puzzle pieces optionally comprising electrical circuits and electrical components such that when two or more puzzle pieces are assembled an electrical circuit is formed along the puzzle assembly, activating the electrical components. The puzzle pieces have spherical projections and spherical recesses, where the spherical projections mate with the spherical recesses and can be inserted in various angles, enabling the forming of three-dimensional structures.

The present invention extends puzzles from two dimensions to three dimensions, and optionally integrates these three-dimensional puzzles with electrical circuits. The puzzle language of connecting pieces to each other is used as the electrical language to build electrical circuits. Specifically, electrical principles such as electric current flow and input-output are well visualized by puzzle assembly projections and recesses.

These, additional, and/or other aspects and/or advantages of the present invention are set forth in the detailed description which follows; possibly inferable from the detailed description; and/or learnable by practice of the present invention.

A building block includes a plurality of panel elements that are each rotatable relative to each other one of the plurality of panel elements; a connecting pin that passes through and rotatably connects the plurality of panel elements to each other; and a plurality of connectors, each connector rotatably attached to a respective panel element, where each one of the panel elements includes at least on locking feature configured to create a releasably fixed connection between adjacent panel elements. A connector assembly, including two barrel connectors that are rotatable relative to an I-shaped main body of the connector assembly, can connect multiple building blocks to each other.

A play mat assembly includes a mat with a first major surface and an opposing second major surface and a plurality of extension coupling points on the first major surface. An extension having a proximal end is removably coupled with one of the plurality of extension coupling points. The extension extends away from the proximal end at the first major surface of the mat to a distal play piece connection point. A play piece is removably coupled with the play piece connection point.

Rotationally Engaged Toy Brick System

A toy brick system is provided having a plurality of bricks each of which has a post extending from first end of a body of the brick and having a socket at a second end. The post in each brick in the plurality is engageable with a socket of an adjacently place brick in a removable rotational engagement enabling curved and angled configuration of assembled structures. Engagement and disengagement from the rotational engagement can only occur at a specific engagement angle between adjacent bricks thereby maintaining the rotational engagement of adjacent bricks once engaged and rotated out of the engagement angle. The bricks are configurable in a linear fashion or with curved exterior walls for forming curved structures.

A toy building brick system includes a brick which has an outer surface including a plurality of outer walls. A male peg is attached to one of the outer walls. The male peg is configured to engage a female connector and includes a post having a terminal end. The terminal end has an outer peripheral edge. The outer peripheral edge has a notch positioned therein. The notch faces an adjacent edge of the outer wall attached to the male peg to prevent adjacent male pegs of adjacent bricks from abutting in such a manner that the male pegs bias the adjacent bricks apart from each other.
