Content publishing systems and methods
A system for publishing digital content is described which, in one embodiment, includes a beacon device associated with a first user configured to transmit identification information and information indicating its current position. A browsing device includes a display configured and adapted to display to a second user a representation of a local geographical area, and to selectively display to the second user content information associated with the first user, based at least in part on whether the location of the beacon device is within the local geographical area.
Visual interactive voice response system
A request is received from a communications device to execute an interaction site. A request is transmitted to the automated response system. First instructions that provide one or more steps of the multi-step communication flow between the communications device and the automated response system are received from the automated response system. In response to determining that the request is for the voice-interaction with the interaction site, second instructions that provide the one or more steps through a voice interaction with a user of the communications device are determined and transmitted to the communications device. In response to determining that the request is for the visual-interaction with the interaction site, third instructions that provide the one or more steps through a visual interaction with the user of the communications device are determined and transmitted to the communications device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PRESENT VOICE MESSAGE INFORMATION TO A USER OF A COMPUTING DEVICE
Systems and methods to process and/or present information relating to voice messages for a user that are received from other persons. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a data processing system includes: receiving first data associated with prior communications or activities for a first user on a mobile device; receiving a voice message for the first user; transcribing the voice message using the first data to provide a transcribed message; and sending the transcribed message to the mobile device for display to the user.
Integration of enterprise voicemail in mobile systems
An integrated voicemail system is described that provides visual voicemail that overcomes the shortcomings associated with a user having to dial into a voicemail system and navigate through a menu of options using conventional voice and/or standard DTMF signaling-based browsing capabilities. The visual voicemail instead provides, via a client device of the user's choice, a visual presentation of a user's voicemails along with state information of the voicemails. The visual presentation of the voicemails includes a user interface that allows a user to control or manipulate voicemails from the client device, where the manipulation includes playing, pausing, rewinding, fast-forwarding, deleting, and changing a state of each voicemail. The visual voicemail also eliminates the need for a user to periodically call-in to the enterprise voicemail system in order to check for voicemail messages as the messages can be automatically delivered to the user's client device.
Virtual queuing system
A virtual queuing system includes a server connected to a call center. The call center includes an automatic call distributor and a firewall. The server maintains virtual queues. User interfaces enqueu a call by a user of the call center to the virtual queues via the server. An application programming interface interfaces the user interfaces to the server. A virtual queuing connector module connects the automatic call distributor of the call center to the application programming interface across the firewall of the call center via requests or pulls initiated by the virtual queuing connector module. The virtual queuing connector module and the automatic call distributor are operated inside the firewall. The server, the application programming interface, and the user interfaces are operated outside the firewall. When a call is up, the call is connected as a prioritized call, assigned to a reserved IVR channel, and put through first.
Visual Voicemail Method for Managing Deleted Messages
A method for managing visual voicemail messages includes displaying a list of voicemail messages on a telecommunications handset, receiving user commands for operating on the voicemail messages including a delete message command and in response to a delete message command, marking a voicemail message for deletion with a delete timestamp and moving the voicemail message to a Deleted Messages folder. A Deleted Message Age Indicator function processes to control permanent deletion of voicemail messages in the Deleted Messages folder based on delete timestamps and a global Delete Time value in cooperation with a visual voicemail platform.
Systems and methods to present voice message information to a user of a computing device
Systems and methods to process and/or present information relating to voice messages for a user that are received from other persons. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving first data associated with prior communications for the user on a mobile device; receiving a voice message for the user; transcribing the voice message using the first data to provide a transcribed message; and sending the transcribed message to the mobile device for display to the user. In one embodiment, links associated with person profiles are also provided for the user.
Message transmission using an IVR system
A software app for a smartphone recognizes input from the user (such as the initial digits of a phone number) that identifies the organization to be called, and accesses remotely stored representations of information about the organization along with the IVR phone tree information for that organization. The app then presents a graphical representation of all or part of the retrieved information on a display. The user can then respond to the graphical representation by providing selective inputs that cause the synthesis all or part of the dialstring needed to navigate the phone tree to the desired destination. Once a dialing option has been synthesized, the user may provide additional input that the system interprets as an instruction to open a phone call and send a text message using the synthesized number.
