Embodiments generally relate to an interlocking brick design suitable for manufacturing with a 3D printer or other type of additive manufacturing. In one embodiment, a top cone having a slightly increasing diameter is formed on a top surface of an interlocking brick or other part. Another embodiment uses a bottom cylinder with notches formed on a bottom surface. The notches define flexible tabs which can have a thinner wall thickness than the cylinder. A design may use either or both of the top cone and bottom cylinder designs.
