A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer readable instructions that are executable by a computer in an operating terminal is provided. The computer readable instructions, when executed by the computer, cause the computer to designate an information processing apparatus to transmit apparatus information to a server, and based on the designation of the information processing apparatus, transmit a setting command to the designated information processing apparatus through a communication interface. The setting command commands the information processing apparatus to shift to one of a condition for transmitting the apparatus information to the server and a condition for not transmitting the apparatus information to the server.

An operation terminal connected to an information storage apparatus and an output apparatus, comprising a processor that obtains a file from the information storage apparatus; displays, on a monitor, an image of the obtained file and a button for selecting an output device for outputting the file; displays, after the button has been pushed, a two-dimensional code photographing screen; the two-dimensional code photographing screen for photographing a two-dimensional code by a camera; obtains, after the two-dimensional code is photographed by the camera while the two-dimensional code photographing screen is displayed, information that specifies the output device; wherein the information that specifies the output device is obtained from the photographed two-dimensional code; and sends, to the output device through a network, an output request for outputting the file of the image displayed on the monitor, based on the obtained information that specifies the output device.

An information processing apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry acquires a log related to communication and execution of processing and transmits the log to a log collection server. The processing circuitry stores a log related to a transmission failure in a memory storage when transmission of the log to the log collection server fails due to occurrence of an error. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

Provided is an information processing apparatus including a first processing unit and a second processing unit. A diagnosis unit included in the first processing unit is configured to detect that communication of first information through a communication line is not performed properly, the communication of the first information being performed between a first CPU in the first processing unit and a second CPU in the second processing unit. A switch unit included in the second processing unit is configured to switch information to be transmitted through the communication line from the first information to second information in a case where it is detected that the communication of the first information through the communication line is not performed properly, the second information being transmitted to the diagnosis unit included in the first processing unit from a diagnosis unit included in the second processing unit.

An image processing system includes a control apparatus and an image processing apparatus to which the control apparatus is connected and that accesses a network via the control apparatus, wherein remote maintenance by an information processing apparatus is performed via the network. The image processing apparatus connects to a server apparatus that relays communication between the control apparatus and the information processing apparatus. The control apparatus notifies the image processing apparatus that it will restart in accordance with a restart instruction from the information processing apparatus which is connected to the control apparatus via the server apparatus and which maintains the control apparatus remotely, the restart being instructed by the information processing apparatus to the control apparatus while the remote maintenance of the control apparatus is continuing, and instructs the image processing apparatus to reconnect to the server apparatus, in accordance with completion of the restart of the control apparatus.
