IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An estimated image data calculator is configured to calculate, as estimated image data, for each of image data of respective colors outputted from an imaging element, on the basis of a pixel value of a first pixel on one of two lines adjacent to each other in the image data, and a pixel value of a second pixel on the other of the two lines and adjacent to the first pixel, image data of a non-reading region between a reading region in a document corresponding to the one of the two lines and a reading region in the document corresponding to the other of the two lines. A pixel value correcting unit is configured to correct at least one of the pixel value of the first pixel and the pixel value of the second pixel on the basis of the estimated image data.
Image processing system, image processing apparatus, and method for image processing
An image processing system includes a reading unit, a checking unit, a display control unit, and an image correcting unit. The reading unit reads image information from an original manuscript to generate image data. The checking unit checks whether or not a plurality of items listed in the original manuscript include an unentered item with the result of a character recognition process for recognizing a character contained in the image data. When the unentered item is present, the display control unit performs control to display information for informing a user of the unentered item. The image correcting unit adds a text with respect to the unentered item according to an input made by a user to correct the image data.
Image inspecting apparatus and image forming apparatus
A distance between a reference position and a reference image of a sheet is accurately measured without adding a special device even when an attitude of the sheet is not stable. An aspect of the present invention obtains image data by reading a sheet surface formed with the reference image such as a trim mark by a reading portion. A height calculation portion calculates edge-blur amounts of the reference position and the reference image on the sheet surface from the image data. Furthermore, a height calculation portion detects heights from a focus position to the sheet surface for the reference position and the reference image, from the edge-blur amount and a reflected light amount of a white solid portion. Moreover, a distance detection portion calculates a distance between the reference position and the reference image on the sheet surface, on the basis of a detection result.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section; an image reading sensor and a colorimeter; a temperature sensor; a memory that stores a first color value and a second color value in a first color chart that has a larger number of patches than a second color chart; a processor that creates a scanner profile for converting a first color value into a second color value using color values obtained by the image reading sensor and the colorimeter, corrects the scanner profile according to the color values obtained by the image reading sensor and the colorimeter, and converts the first color value into the second color value using the corrected scanner profile.
SOLID-STATE IMAGE SENSOR AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A solid-state imaging device includes a pixel circuit including a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements and configured to output a signal level and a reset level, an analog correlated double sampling (CDS) circuit connected to the pixel circuit and configured to perform correlated double sampling in an analog region based on the signal level and the reset level and output a result of the correlated double sampling, an analog-digital (AD) conversion circuit connected to the analog CDS circuit and configured to convert two different analog signals output from the analog CDS circuit into two digital signals, a signal processing circuit connected to the AD conversion circuit and configured to obtain a difference between the two different digital signals output from the AD conversion circuit; and a reference voltage generating circuit to output a first reference voltage that defines a clamp level of the analog CDS circuit.
IMAGE READING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH READER HAVING LENS ARRAY AND LIGHT RECEIVING ELEMENTS
In an image reading device, a controller is configured to perform: calculating a ratio between first and second reference data as evaluation data; designating a target light receiving element from a plurality of light receiving elements one by one sequentially; calculating average evaluation data of the target light receiving element by averaging the evaluation data of a second number of light receiving elements located at positions apart every predetermined distance equal to a length of a first number of consecutively arranged light receiving elements; setting an evaluation range of the target light receiving element by adding/subtracting a predetermined value to/from the average evaluation data; determining whether the evaluation data falls within the evaluation range; in response to determining that the evaluation data is out of the evaluation range, revising the second reference data of the target light receiving element; and generating correction data using the second reference data after revision.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An image processing device includes a classification unit that classifies a plurality of a first document image or a plurality of a second document image in accordance with an arrangement of documents, and a generation unit that generates an image in accordance with a result of the classification.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING METHOD
An image reading apparatus includes an image data obtaining unit, a foreign material position information obtaining unit, and a separation processor. The image data obtaining unit obtains image data read from a document passing over a read area. The foreign material position information obtaining unit obtains foreign material position information read from the read area in which the document is not present. The separation processor separates the image data into plural objects including a background object, detects, by using the foreign material position information, a streak image portion caused by foreign material in the read area and included in the image data, and assumes a pixel of the streak image portion to belong to the background object if the pixel is present in the background object and has a pixel value equal to or smaller than a threshold determined in accordance with a representative value of the background.
Liquid crystal document handler CVT glass
According to exemplary scanning devices herein, a platen has a sheet side and a scanner side, opposite the sheet side. A scanner is located on the scanner side of the transparent platen. The platen has a constant velocity transport (CVT) scanning position at an end of the platen. A portion of the platen, located at the CVT scanning position of the platen has integral transparent electrodes and incorporates a polymer/liquid crystal filler material that is white in a first state and transparent in a second state. A scanner is located on the scanner side of the platen. A controller is electrically connected to the electrodes. The controller controls the state of the polymer/liquid crystal filler material during scanning of a document and during white calibration of the scanner.
