IMAGE FORMATION SYSTEM CAPABLE OF STARTING EXECUTION OF CALIBRATION WITH TIMING TO START INSERTION OF INTERLEAVING PAPER
An image formation system includes an image forming apparatus and an inserter. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a conveyance device, and a control device. The control device functions as a controller and an executor. The controller allows the inserter to insert an interleaving paper between sheets of printed material at an insertion start timing specified by a print job. When the plurality of calibrations include a second calibration capable of being completed within an interleaving paper insertion time required to insert the interleaving paper or a third calibration capable of being completed within a total time of the interleaving paper insertion time and a predetermined additional time, the executor executes the second calibration or the third calibration in time with the insertion start timing.
Information processing apparatus and method for controlling the same
A method for controlling an information processing apparatus includes a notifying step of, if an error is occurring in a printing apparatus under non-completion of an initial setting process for the printing apparatus when a predetermined program is operating on the information processing apparatus, executing a notification process for notifying a user of the error occurring in the printing apparatus on the basis of error information, the initial setting process being a process executed in response to the user turning on the printing apparatus for a first time after the printing apparatus is unpacked, and not executing the notification process if an error is occurring in the printing apparatus under completion of the initial setting process for the printing apparatus when the predetermined program is operating on the information processing apparatus.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and non-transitory storage medium
A printed matter reviewed by a user is read, and a difference image is generated based on a first image obtained as a result of reading the printed matter and an electronic document that is a printing source from which the printed matter is generated. Based on the difference image, a process is performed to identify an instruction relating to a revision additionally written on the printed matter and a character string to be subjected to the revision in the electronic document. Thereafter, a particular process is executed on the electronic document based on the instruction related to the revision and the character string to which the revision is applied.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: an operation unit that is decentered from a center line between a right part and a left part of the image forming apparatus rightwards or leftwards and that is disposed closer to a rear face or a front face of the image forming apparatus; a human sensor that detects a user intending to use the image forming apparatus; and a controller that performs control of operation of the image forming apparatus by using a detection result of the human sensor, the human sensor having a detection range set to detect the user, the user being detectable even when the user is present at least partially outside a width range of the image forming apparatus.
Image scanning apparatus, method for controlling image scanning apparatus, and storage medium
Provided is a technique for allowing a user to easily check the status of an image scanning apparatus. An image scanning apparatus is configured to transmit original document image data by storing, sequentially in a buffer, line data obtained by line-by-line scanning of an original document and transmitting the stored line data to a host computer sequentially line by line, and includes a control unit configured to perform control to transmit original document image data including notification image data to the host computer in a case where it is detected that the apparatus status of the image scanning apparatus is not normal during processing executed in response to a scan command received from the host computer, the notification image data being a notification of an error occurrence.
Image processing apparatus, method, and product for inspecting a target image by correcting a partial region adjacent another partial region based on differences between a reference image and the target image
An image processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire first image data indicating a reference image as a target print result, and second image data indicating a target image to be inspected, and a processing unit configured to inspect the target image by performing a correction on a second partial region adjacent to a first partial region to enhance the second partial region relative to a difference image representing a difference between the reference image and the target image based on the first image data and the second image data, the first partial region having a difference in between the reference image and the target image.
DOCUMENT FEEDING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document feeding apparatus includes a document tray, a feed roller, a separation conveying unit, a first detecting unit and a control unit. The first detecting unit detects that the document is at the first detecting position when a protrusion amount of a flag member is a first amount and detects that no document is at the first detecting position when the protrusion amount is a second amount. The control unit executes an operation in a first mode in which a first detecting process is executed so as to detect the presence or absence of the document before starting to lower the feed roller and the presence or absence is determined, and in a second mode in which a second detecting process is executed so as to detect the presence or absence at the first detecting position after lowering said feed roller and the presence or absence is determined.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING SAME
An image reading device includes a sensor and circuitry. The sensor reads an image on a recording medium. The circuitry inspects the image and outputs an inspection result. The circuitry excludes an area of the recording medium as a first area from an area to be inspected, based on a type of the recording medium or a position of the recording medium with respect to a reading position at which the sensor reads the image, to determine a second area to be inspected. The circuitry outputs the inspection result based on the second area.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: specify a quality required for a print medium included in a product for which an instruction for production on a specific production line among plural production lines is given; and perform a control such that one inspection apparatus having an inspection accuracy according to the quality performs an inspection of the print medium, the one inspection apparatus being included in plural inspection apparatuses provided on the plural production lines.
Information processing apparatus, output method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium which highlights an abnormality before correction
An information processing apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry is configured to acquire read image data of an image formed on a recording medium. The circuitry is configured to acquire output target image data according to which the image is formed. The circuitry is configured to generate, based on the output target image data, inspection image data for inspection of the read image data. The circuitry is configured to compare the read image data corrected based on an amount of deviation caused by conveyance of the recording medium with the inspection image data generated, to detect an image abnormality. The circuitry is configured to highlight and output a position of a portion of the image abnormality in the read image data before correction, based on the amount of deviation caused by conveyance of the recording medium, in response to the image abnormality being detected.
