Image inspection system, image inspection method, non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing image inspection program
An image inspection system including: an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a sheet; an image reading apparatus that reads the image formed on the sheet through the image forming apparatus; and an image inspector that inspects the image read by the image reading apparatus. The image inspector includes a hardware processor that sets an edge portion of the sheet as an image inspection excluded area that is excluded from targets for inspection of the image.
INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
An inkjet recording device includes: an image former; an image reader including a line sensor and an optical unit; and a conveyor. The line sensor has imaging elements, and detects incident light from a surface of a recording medium over an imaging range corresponding to arrangement of the imaging elements in a width direction intersecting a relative movement direction in which the recording medium and/or the image reader is relatively moved, thereby performing one-dimensional imaging along the width direction. The optical unit removes a high-frequency-side component that is a spatial structure equal to or higher than a predetermined cutoff frequency from spatial distribution of the incident light from the imaging range and guides the incident light to the line sensor. The cutoff frequency for the high-frequency-side component is determined to be lower in the width direction than the relative movement direction.
Method and apparatus to communicate data associated with media processing devices
A disclosed example is a server residing on a first network. The server has an observer. The observer receives observational data from a media processing device residing on a second network via a first persistent connection between the media processing device and the server. The observer provides, via the first persistent connection, a configuration file to the media processing device that defines a type of the observational data to be collected by the media processing device. The observer is prevented from communicating an operational instruction to the media processing device. The operational instruction is to control media processing hardware of the media processing device.
Quality monitoring arrangement and method in an industrial printer system
The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by an image capturing device for handling printed information on an information carrier. The image capturing device dynamically determines at least part of print information that should be printed on the information carrier by an industrial printer. When the print information has been printed on the information carrier by the industrial printer, the image capturing device captures an image of at least part of the print information on the information carrier.
PRINTING CONTROL APPARATUS, PRINTING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
There is provided a PC that performs print control on a printing apparatus which stores a plurality of pieces of color conversion information for color-converting first color information included in print data into second color information different from the first color information, the PC including a PC control unit that generates the print data including first designation information for designating in the print data a conversion target of the color conversion and second designation information for designating color conversion information used for the color conversion among the plurality of pieces of color conversion information stored in the printing apparatus, and transmits the generated print data to the printing apparatus.
PRINTING CONTROL APPARATUS, PRINTING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A PC includes a first set information DB that stores a plurality of pieces of first set information including color conversion information for color-converting first color information into second color information different from the first color information and a print setting corresponding to the color conversion information in association with each other, and a PC control unit that obtains a designation print setting which is a print setting designated for print data, causes a PC display unit to display a color conversion list including one or more options of the color conversion information associated with the print setting corresponding to the obtained designation print setting based on the plurality of pieces of first set information stored in the first set information DB, and controls color conversion to be performed on the print data based on color conversion information selected from the color conversion list.
RECONSTRUCTION OF SURFACES FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Tracking of measured depth with intervening depositing of one or more layers provides a way of improving the accuracy of surface reconstruction. For example, knowledge of the desired or expected thickness of each layer, in combination with the scan data is combined to yield higher accuracy than is available from scan data of a single scan alone. One application of such an accurate surface reconstruction is in a feedback arrangement in which the desired thickness of one or more subsequent layers to be deposited after scanning is determined from the estimate of the surface depth and a model of the object that is being fabricated, and by increasing accuracy of the surface depth estimate, the precision of the fabrication of the object may be increased.
System and method for diagnosing parts of a printing device to be replaced based on incident rate
A method to diagnosis an electro-mechanical part on an image forming device comprising: determining an incident count for a first time interval for the electro-mechanical part; determining a first threshold level for the first time interval; monitoring the electro-mechanical part for a second time interval, wherein the second time interval is a plurality of first time intervals; determining if the incident count for a first portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part equal to or less than the first threshold; determining if the incident count for a second portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part is equal to or less than the first threshold when the incident count for the first portion of the second time interval fails to exceed the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; determining a maximum incident count for the second portion of the second time interval when the incident count for the second portion of the second time interval exceeds the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; calculating an error ratio between an average incident count of the first portion of the second time interval and the maximum incident count of the second portion of the second time interval; and marking the electro-mechanical part as needing to be one of repaired or serviced when the error ratio exceeds an error ratio threshold level.
Fax board incompatibility detection and circumvention
Embodiments of the present invention provide for a method, system, and computer program for increasing the success of a facsimile transmission. In an embodiment of the invention, the method includes monitoring an incoming facsimile number transmitting a fax image by a carrier and on the condition that a threshold failure rate is met or exceeded for the carrier transmitting the fax image on the incoming facsimile number, adjusting the carrier to a new carrier.
Methods and systems for resolving one or more problems related to a multi-function device via a local user interface
The disclosure discloses methods and systems for enabling an administrator to resolve problems related to a multi-function device, via a local user interface (LUI) of the multi-function device (MFD). The method includes sending a notification message to the administrator about a problem related to a service of the MFD. The MFD receives login credentials at the LUI from the administrator to access the MFD. The MFD displays an error message about the problem to the administrator on the LUI based on the login credentials. Based on an input received from the administrator on the LUI, the MFD retrieves at least one relevant webpage corresponding to the problem and displays the at least one relevant webpage to the administrator via the LUI. The MFD receives setting inputs and updates settings on the at least one relevant webpage based on the setting inputs such that the problem is resolved.
