The image inspector includes a hardware processor that sets an edge portion of the sheet as an image inspection excluded area that is excluded from targets for inspection of the image.

A method for determining the quality of a media stream of a computer network including: receiving a packet from a traffic flow; determining whether the packet relates to a media stream; if the packet is related to the media stream, simulating a content player buffer related to the media stream; reviewing further data chunks associated with the media stream to determine quality events affecting the media stream; analyzing the effect of the quality event on a subscriber viewing the quality event; and determining a Quality of Experience score related to the media stream; otherwise allowing the packet to continue to the subscriber without further analysis. A system for determining the quality of a media stream, the system including modules configured to carry out the method for determining the quality of the media stream.

A method to diagnosis an electro-mechanical part on an image forming device comprising: determining an incident count for a first time interval for the electro-mechanical part; determining a first threshold level for the first time interval; monitoring the electro-mechanical part for a second time interval, wherein the second time interval is a plurality of first time intervals; determining if the incident count for a first portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part equal to or less than the first threshold; determining if the incident count for a second portion of the second time interval for the electro-mechanical part is equal to or less than the first threshold when the incident count for the first portion of the second time interval fails to exceed the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; determining a maximum incident count for the second portion of the second time interval when the incident count for the second portion of the second time interval exceeds the first threshold for the electro-mechanical part; calculating an error ratio between an average incident count of the first portion of the second time interval and the maximum incident count of the second portion of the second time interval; and marking the electro-mechanical part as needing to be one of repaired or serviced when the error ratio exceeds an error ratio threshold level.

The external output signal generator generates an external output signal indicating timing of output of the image data by the image data output unit. The image data output unit calculates a weighted average of several pieces of photographed data stored in a buffer while giving respective weights responsive to a time gap between the camera output signal and the external output signal to the several pieces of photographed data.

An image forming device includes a communicator that receives a remote access request from a user terminal via a network, an image former that forms an image based on image data, and a controller that controls the communicator and the image former.
