METHODS AND DEVICES FOR RETROFITTING FOOTWEAR TO INCLUDE A REEL BASED CLOSURE SYSTEM
According to one embodiment, a removable tightening device is described. The tensioning mechanism is removably coupleable with an article without damaging the article so that upon removal, the coupling of the tensioning mechanism with the article is unrecognizable or not readily detectable. The tensioning mechanism is operable with a tension member to maintain a tension of the tension member and thereby maintain a tightness of the article. The tension member is guided along a path about the article, via one or more guide members, and is tensionable, via the tensioning mechanism, to tighten the article.
Footwear traction devices and systems and mechanisms for making durable connections to soft body materials
The present disclosure is directed toward a device that can be worn over footwear to provide traction, such as on slick or slippery surfaces, in snow, or on ice. Described embodiments include footwear accessory devices comprising at least one cleat that provides traction but does not add significantly to the profile of the footwear during use. The present disclosure is also directed toward to connecting bodies that can be used to couple objects to a stretchy material.
Article of footwear with traction elements
An article of footwear includes a midsole, a cleat plate including a bottom surface that faces toward a ground surface when the article of footwear is worn by a user, and a traction element connected with the cleat plate. The traction element includes a base member that is embedded within the cleat plate and a ground engaging member that extends from the base member and is exposed and extends transversely from the bottom surface of the cleat plate, where the ground engaging member has a length that is greater than a lengthwise dimension of the base member.
FOOTWEAR TRACTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
The present disclosure is directed toward a device that can be worn over footwear to provide traction, such as on slick or slippery surfaces, in snow, or on ice.
Footwear with improved traction
An article of footwear includes an outsole having first and second treads constructed from a first material and defining first and second ground contacting surfaces. The second tread includes a layer of a second material below the first material, the second material being less abrasion resistant than the first material. The second ground contacting surface of the second tread extends below the first ground contacting surface of the first tread. The second tread is configured to move upward when the second ground contacting surface engages a ground surface to distribute a ground force upon both the first tread and the second tread. The second material of the second tread is abraded by the ground surface less than it would have been had the second tread remained at the second distance upon application of the ground force.
Footwear cleats device
A fall prevention footwear accessory device includes a first strap configured to wrap around an upper portion and sole of the footwear at a ball portion of the footwear. A first fastener removably secures a looped first end of the first strap. A second fastener slidably receives the looped first strap and secures a second end of the first strap. A second strap includes a central cleat region that rotatably attaches to the second fastener post and removably attaches to a third fastener attached to the first strap. The device facilitates relocation of the second strap cleat region between a first position under the footwear sole and a second position over the footwear upper.
SHOE WITH SPIKES
A shoe with spikes is disclosed. The shoe includes an accommodation seat, at least one moving plate, a transmission module, a plurality of posts, a plurality of spikes, and a shoe plate. The accommodation seat includes a chamber. The moving plate is disposed in the chamber and controlled to move between a first position and a second position, and includes a plurality of push members. The transmission module is configured to move the moving plate. The posts extend from the accommodation seat toward the ground. The spikes are fixed to the posts and extend out of the chamber. When the moving plate is in the first position, the spikes protrude out of the shoe plate relative to the ground. When the moving plate is moved to the second position, the push members push the shoe plate, and the spikes do not protrude out of the shoe plate.

Footwear Accessory Binding System
An improved binding for footwear traction devices, snowshoes and other footwear accessories that provides adjustable lateral supports and generally even platform or foot bed. Furthermore, an improved traction device with removable rear traction component to allow for use with detachable snowshoe platform.
