The present invention relates to collapsible snowshoes. In one embodiment, a collapsible snowshoe includes a collapsible frame, a webbing and a binding. The collapsible snowshoe frame includes a first pair of bars, a second pair of bars, a pair of joints and a center bar securing the pair of joints to each other. The pair of joints is coupled to the corresponding first end of each of the first pair of bars, and is also coupled to the corresponding first end of each of the second pair of bars.

Disclosed are chain-type crampons for preventing mountain-climbing boots from being slipped on a snowy road or icy road when climbing a mountain. The crampons having an elastic band and chains mounted on the band are provided with a plurality of spikes and link rings including an advanced spike on the front of the boot when so mounted, so that a brake power on the snowy road or icy road is increased and snow is not adhered to the crampons. The crampons have a restraining member at the front.

An ice crampon comprises a metal body composed of a head and a heel connected by flexible connecting means formed by at least one flexible cord after passing through length adjustment notches. These notches form part of a notching system securedly attached to the body of the crampon, so that the longitudinal adjustment of the cord is adapted to the shoe size, independently from the fixing means of the crampon.

Disclosed are chain-type crampons for preventing mountain-climbing boots from being slipped on a snowy road or icy road when climbing a mountain. A boot having a first footwear element and a second footwear element, the second footwear element being configured to be removably inserted into the first footwear element, the first element footwear extending lengthwise from a rear end to a front end, widthwise between a lateral side and a medial side, and height-wise from a base to an upper end, the second footwear element extending lengthwise from a rear end to a front end, widthwise between a lateral side and a medial side, and height-wise from a base to an upper end. The boot includes a retaining device to retain the rear end of the second footwear element at the rear end of the first footwear element.

Furthermore, an improved traction device with removable rear traction component to allow for use with detachable snowshoe platform.

A crampon includes a crampon base for fitting to an underside of an item of footwear, such as a shoe or a boot. A harness extends from the crampon base and may be attached to the crampon base using rivets. The harness and the crampon base define a space for receiving the item of footwear. The crampon base comprises at least one cleat assembly with a cleat base embedded within the crampon base. One or more spikes extend from the cleat base.

A crampon includes a crampon base for fitting to an underside of an item of footwear, such as a shoe or a boot. The present disclosure is directed toward a device that can be worn over footwear to provide traction, such as on slick or slippery surfaces, in snow, or on ice. Described embodiments include footwear accessory devices comprising at least one cleat that provides traction but does not add significantly to the profile of the footwear during use. The present disclosure is also directed toward to connecting bodies that can be used to couple objects to a stretchy material.

An ice crampon designed to be attached to a footwear item includes a front portion which has at least one pair of front tips a rear portion which has at least one pair of rear tips; at least one flexible link which connects the front portion and the rear portion to each other; and at least one intermediate portion which is mounted on the flexible link by being positioned between the front portion and the rear portion. The at least one intermediate portion has at least one pair of intermediate tips. The pairs of front tips, rear tips, and intermediate tips are configured to prevent the ice crampon from sliding on ground, particularly on frozen ground. The front portion, the rear portion, and the intermediate portion are articulated independently of each other, and the position of the intermediate portion are adjustable in relation to the flexible link.
