An image inspection device includes a hardware processor executing an inspection for a first read image generated by reading a first sheet on which one image is formed, based on a reference image. When an operation for newly generating the reference image is performed in association with the inspection for the first read image, the hardware processor acquires second read images generated by respectively reading second sheets on each of which the one image is formed and generates the reference image using the inspection for the first read image. When an operation for using the generated reference image stored in a storage unit is performed in association with the inspection for the first read image, the hardware processor uses the reference image in the storage unit for the inspection for the first read image, without newly acquiring the second read images.

An information processing apparatus holds a print job and identification information of a reference image that is associated with the print job and is used in inspection printing of the print job. In a case that a reprint according to the held print job is instructed, the information processing apparatus determines whether or not a change has been made in print settings of the held print job and whether or not inspection printing that uses the reference image being associated with the held print job is possible, and in a case that it is determined that the inspection printing that uses the reference image being associated with the held print job is not possible, controls so as to set the identification information of the reference image in the held print job to none and transmits the held print job to the printing apparatus.

An image processing apparatus includes: an input part that acquires image data for an image forming part to perform image formation; an image reader disposed in a stage after a conveyance path for a paper sheet on which an image is formed by the image forming part; and an inspection processor that conducts inspection by comparing an image to be inspected with an image read by the image reader, wherein, after a defect is detected in the image read by the image reader, when a defect at the same portion is again detected from an image read by the image reader from a paper sheet subjected to recovery reprinting at the image forming part, the inspection processor performs image correction on a defect at the portion in image data for recovery re-reprinting in which the image forming part performs image formation.

An image capturing unit includes a sensor unit that image-captures a predetermined area including a subject; and a reference chart unit that is arranged in the predetermined area and captured with the subject by the sensor unit.

The inspection apparatus performs first image processing on image data used in printing the image, and stores image data for which the first image processing has been performed as a reference image. The inspection apparatus determines whether a first reference image corresponding to a reference image that can be used in a job to be inspected is stored, and if it is determined that the corresponding first reference image is stored, performs second image processing on the first reference image to convert the first reference image into a second reference image corresponding to the job. The inspection apparatus obtains a scanned image by reading an image of paper on which printing has been performed according to the job and performs processing for matching the obtained scanned image and the second reference image.

According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus stores in a storage device an original identification image included in the original image. The image forming apparatus scans a determination target image and detects a determination target identification image of the determination target image. The image forming apparatus compares the stored original identification image with the determination target identification image and determines whether or not the determination target identification image is the original image.

A printer (300) is disclosed. The printer has two scanners (336, 338) in the paper path of the printer located after the print zone (346). The two scanners are spaced apart from each other by a known distance A and overlap each other in a direction perpendicular to the media axis of travel. The two scanners capture a first and second image of the media.

An information processing apparatus obtains reference image data used for printing of a printed material, and obtains an image quality inspection result obtained by comparing read image data obtained by reading the printed material and the reference image data. The information processing apparatus also displays, on a display unit, an inspection result screen in accordance with the inspection result. A first region for displaying an entire image corresponding to read image data for a predetermined page among pages read from printed material is included in the inspection result screen. Aspects of the present disclosure relate to adjusting an illumination of a user depicted in one or more images when using a video conferencing application. In one example, one or more images depicting the user may be received from an image sensor. Further, an illumination of the user depicted in the one or more images may be determined to be unsatisfactory. For example, the user's face may be too bright or too dim. Accordingly, content displayed at a display device may identified and then modified. The modified content may then be rendered to a display device thereby changing the illumination of the user depicted in subsequent images. In examples, the modified content may include a graphical element, such as a ring of a specific color at least partially surrounding content rendered to and displayed at the display device.

Determination is made as to whether or not image data inputted in a state where a mode for confirming a print result is set in a maintenance mode used by a service person includes information that indicates data for maintenance, and in a case that it is determined that the information is included, image formation is performed after superimposing a particular pattern on the image data, and in a case that it is determined that the information is not included, image formation in accordance with the image data is performed after waiting for the mode to be released.
