INSPECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The inspection apparatus performs first image processing on image data used in printing the image, and stores image data for which the first image processing has been performed as a reference image. The inspection apparatus determines whether a first reference image corresponding to a reference image that can be used in a job to be inspected is stored, and if it is determined that the corresponding first reference image is stored, performs second image processing on the first reference image to convert the first reference image into a second reference image corresponding to the job. The inspection apparatus obtains a scanned image by reading an image of paper on which printing has been performed according to the job and performs processing for matching the obtained scanned image and the second reference image.
Image processing apparatus and method of processing an image
An image processing apparatus includes a reading device and at least one processor. The reading device reads a document into image data of a document image with a first resolution and a second resolution that are different from each other. The first resolution is used for reading the document in a main scanning direction. The second resolution is used for reading the document in a sub-scanning direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction. One or more processors detect an inclination angle of the document image corresponding to inclination of the document, obtain a distortion angle of the document image based on the inclination angle and a ratio between the first resolution and the second resolution, and correct distortion of the document image using the distortion angle.
Printer with two scanners
A printer (300) is disclosed. The printer has two scanners (336, 338) in the paper path of the printer located after the print zone (346). The two scanners are spaced apart from each other by a known distance A and overlap each other in a direction perpendicular to the media axis of travel. The two scanners capture a first and second image of the media.
System and method for selectively sending, delivery and receiving of faxes
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An information processing apparatus obtains reference image data used for printing of a printed material, and obtains an image quality inspection result obtained by comparing read image data obtained by reading the printed material and the reference image data. The information processing apparatus also displays, on a display unit, an inspection result screen in accordance with the inspection result. A first region for displaying an entire image corresponding to read image data for a predetermined page among pages read from printed material is included in the inspection result screen. Furthermore, the inspection result screen includes a second region in which a normal enlarged image obtained by enlarging a normal image based on reference image data and an abnormal enlarged image obtained by enlarging an abnormal image based on the read image data are displayed in association for each abnormal portion included in the entire image.
QUALITY MONITORING ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD IN AN INDUSTRIAL PRINTER SYSTEM
The embodiments herein relate to a method performed by an image capturing device for handling printed information on an information carrier. The image capturing device dynamically determines at least part of print information that should be printed on the information carrier by an industrial printer. When the print information has been printed on the information carrier by the industrial printer, the image capturing device captures an image of at least part of the print information on the information carrier.
Image forming apparatus and method for controlling image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus including: a hard disk configured to store data; a hard disk malfunction detecting unit configured to detect malfunction of the hard disk; a partition confirmation unit configured to determine as to whether a malfunctioning portion of the hard disk is in a preliminary determined partition; and a partition formatting unit configured to format the partition, wherein, when the malfunctioning portion of the hard disk detected by the hard disk malfunction detecting unit is determined as being in the partition preliminary determined by the partition confirmation unit, the partition formatting unit formats the partition.
WASTE REDUCTION IN SHEET PRINTING SYSTEMS
When a sheet ejector ejects an unsuitable sheet from a transport path in a printing system, additional sheets downstream of said unsuitable sheet are generally discharged to preserve the image order as prescribed by the print instructions. This results in large amounts of waste material (sheets and ink). The amount of waste may be reduced by providing a controller which, when receiving print instructions concerning a first and a second set of images, schedules the images of the first and second sets into an alternating image sequence defining the print order. Sheets printed with images from the first set are designated to a first output holder while sheets printed with images from the second set are transported to the second output holder. When a sheet for the second image set is rejected, the first image set need not be discharged, resulting in a reduced amount of waste material.
Image forming apparatus that is improved in jam processing efficiency
An image forming apparatus that facilitates user's determination of necessity of setting an inspection resuming page and is improved in jam processing efficiency. A sheet having an image formed thereon by an image forming unit is conveyed along a sheet conveying path. A sheet inspection device inspects the image on a sheet being conveyed through sheet conveying path. When a jam occurs in the conveying path, image formation by the image forming unit is interrupted. When jammed sheets are removed, formation of images including those formed on the jammed sheets is resumed. When a leading one of the jammed sheets is on a downstream side of the sheet inspection device, the image formation is resumed from an image formed on the leading jammed sheet, based on a user instruction.
MOBILE TERMINAL, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A mobile terminal includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor executes a process comprising acquiring a frame with taking a photograph, acquiring document image data of a document from the frame, detecting shine on the document image data, determining whether the shine is equal to or smaller than a shine baseline, and acquiring a frame with retaking a photograph when the shine is neither equal to nor smaller than the shine baseline.
