Provided is an image reading device including an irradiation section that irradiates a reading position with light, a color chart that includes plural color patches, and that is provided on a curved surface of a rotatable roller, an image capturing section that captures an image of the color chart at the reading position, and that outputs image signals which express the captured image, a correction section that corrects the image signals using a correction coefficient corresponding to the curved surface, and a calibration section that performs calibration using the image signals, which are corrected by the correction section, and representative color values of the plural color patches, the representative color values being stored in advance.

A CO2 emissions estimation system includes a control device including a processor and functioning, through the processor executing a CO2 emissions estimation program, as an emissions estimator. The emissions estimator determines an estimated value of CO2 emissions from an image forming apparatus, using a first estimation model as a formula for estimating the emissions, a setting value for the image forming apparatus, and job execution information as information related to execution of a job by the image forming apparatus. The first estimation model is a formula where a multiple regression expression for determining an estimated value of a power consumption of the image forming apparatus is multiplied by a CO2 emissions factor. The first estimation model has an explanatory variable according to a different type of the setting value and/or an explanatory variable according to a different type of the job execution information.
System and method for selectively sending, delivery and receiving of faxes
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' sites. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer-based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer-based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
PRINTING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing system comprising an image forming apparatus and a diagnostic apparatus. The image forming apparatus creates a printed product corresponding to an input image, and the diagnostic apparatus detects an image defect included in the printed product based on a read image obtained by reading the printed product, and the diagnostic apparatus obtains features of the detected image defect in a case where the image defect is detected, and identifies a factor of the image defect based on the obtained features. In the obtaining the features, if a predetermined condition for the detected image defect is satisfied, the image forming apparatus stops creation of a printed product and causes the diagnostic apparatus obtains the features of the image defect based on the read image obtained by reading the printed product.

A multi-function device (MFD) (100) configured to provide real-time help feedback to a user, comprising: one or more MFD sensors (390) configured to obtain MFD sensor data; a processor (320) configured to: (i) automatically receive MFD monitoring data, the MFD monitoring data comprising MFD sensor data and user input data to an MFD, the user input data comprising a request for assistance with a component of the MFD; (ii) automatically detect, from the received MFD monitoring data, an anomaly in one or more of the one or more MFDs; (iii) automatically identify, by a trained support model analyzing the detected anomaly, a solution to the detected anomaly; and a user interface (340) configured to automatically provide the identified solution to the user, wherein the identified solution is provided to the user in real-time in response to the provided request for assistance.

An image forming system includes: an image scanning portion that scans an image formed on a paper; and a processor that controls image forming based on a scanned image obtained through scanning of the image scanning portion, in which the processor is configured to: define, in an intermediate state in which a reference point of a mark for positional deviation detection is not included in an analysis region set with respect to the scanned image and a part of the mark is included in the analysis region, a temporary position in place of an actual position of the reference point based on the part of the mark; and correct an image forming position on the paper based on the temporary position.
Inspection apparatus and method of controlling the same, and storage medium, that convert stored first reference image usable in job to be inspected to second reference image corresponding to the job
The inspection apparatus performs first image processing on image data used in printing the image, and stores image data for which the first image processing has been performed as a reference image. The inspection apparatus determines whether a first reference image corresponding to a reference image that can be used in a job to be inspected is stored, and if it is determined that the corresponding first reference image is stored, performs second image processing on the first reference image to convert the first reference image into a second reference image corresponding to the job. The inspection apparatus obtains a scanned image by reading an image of paper on which printing has been performed according to the job and performs processing for matching the obtained scanned image and the second reference image.

Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. An information processing apparatus obtains reference image data used for printing of a printed material, and obtains an image quality inspection result obtained by comparing read image data obtained by reading the printed material and the reference image data. The information processing apparatus also displays, on a display unit, an inspection result screen in accordance with the inspection result. A first region for displaying an entire image corresponding to read image data for a predetermined page among pages read from printed material is included in the inspection result screen. Furthermore, the inspection result screen includes a second region in which a normal enlarged image obtained by enlarging a normal image based on reference image data and an abnormal enlarged image obtained by enlarging an abnormal image based on the read image data are displayed in association for each abnormal portion included in the entire image.
