ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An electronic apparatus includes processing devices including first circuitry, a controller including second circuitry, and a memory storing a time-out time and an extension time. The first circuitry that detects an abnormality, transmits an abnormality occurrence notification, transmits a preparation completion notification, and transmits an extension request. The second circuitry transmits a restart preparation instruction to the processing devices excluding a source of the abnormality occurrence notification, waits for the preparation completion notification until an elapse of the time-out time. The second circuitry restarts the processing devices in response to the preparation completion notification from the processing devices or the elapse of the time-out time. The second circuitry extends the time-out time by the extension time in response to the extension request and restarts the processing devices in response to the preparation completion notification or the elapse of the extension time.
INSPECTION DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING INSPECTION PROGRAM
An inspection device includes a processor configured to perform a first inspection of using original image data as first reference image data and collating the first reference image data with at least one of plural pieces of read image data obtained by reading image-formed matters obtained by forming the first reference image data on plural recording media, and register read image data satisfying a predetermined criterion among the plural pieces of read image data as a result of the first inspection, as second reference image data for a second inspection different from the first inspection.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND CONTROL METHOD
In a case where it is determined that a document is left behind, a display control unit is configured to control display of an icon using a result of detection by a second detection unit without using at least a result of detection by a first detection unit.
Ink usage estimation for each drop size based on histogram and calibrated drop fraction
A system is disclosed. The system at least one physical memory device to store ink estimation logic and one or more processors coupled with the at least one physical memory device, to execute the ink estimation logic to receive a histogram for each of a plurality of color planes, receive uncalibrated drop fraction data for each of a plurality of drop sizes in a printing system, perform a direct drop fraction conversion of the uncalibrated drop fraction data to generate calibrated drop fraction data for each of the plurality of drop sizes by applying a first transfer function to the uncalibrated drop fraction data and generate estimated ink usage data for each of the plurality of drop sizes based on the histograms and the calibrated drop fraction data.
Diagnosing an image forming apparatus based on sound signal analysis
An electronic apparatus includes a sound collecting device, a storage device, a display device, and a control device. The storage device contains a normal spectrogram representing the operation sound of each of functional units, acquired when low-speed operation is normally performed, and a timing chart indicating a timing that each functional unit operates when the electronic apparatus performs the low-speed operation. The control device analyzes frequency of the sound data collected by the sound collecting device when the electronic apparatus performs the low-speed operation, and outputs the spectrogram, decides whether abnormal noise has occurred, by comparison between the outputted spectrogram and the normal spectrogram, identifies, upon deciding that abnormal noise has occurred, the functional unit that is a source of the abnormal noise, by comparison between the timing chart and the outputted spectrogram, and causes the display device to display a first screen indicating the identified functional unit.
System and method for monitoring, recommending, updating and supplying multifunction peripheral fleets
A system and method for maintenance and supplying of a fleet of multifunction peripheral devices includes two or more networked devices including a decision engine. Devices discover one another and one device is designated as a server. The server creates a virtual lobby accessible by other devices and its decision engine is enabled. The server invites other devices into its virtual lobby, and these devices join the lobby in response. Devices provide their device state information to the lobby. The enabled decision engine generates recommendations for consumable replenishment, device servicing or device configuration, relaying the recommendations to a system administrator's tablet or smartphone. The administrator may accept, reject, modify or implement received suggestions. Consumable supplies or servicing recommendations can be done automatically if enabled. Administrator actions are fed back to the server for machine learning to improve future suggestions.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an image processing apparatus comprising: a reader that reads an image from a document; a projection unit that projects an image; a printer that prints an image onto a sheet; an operation unit that accepts a first instruction for the projection unit to project the image read by the reader and a second instruction for the printer to print the image projected by the projection unit; and a control unit, wherein in a case where the first instruction is accepted by the operation unit, the control unit causes the projection unit to project the image read by the reader, and in a case where the second instruction is accepted by the operation unit, the control unit causes the printer to print the image being projected by the projection unit.
PRODUCTION CONTROL APPARATUS, PRODUCTION METHOD, AND MEDIUM
A production control apparatus is provided. The production control apparatus receives a print product production instruction, determines, in accordance with the production instruction, a production apparatus to be used for print product production, determines a first inspection item according to quality requirement data received together with the production instruction and a second inspection item according to the production apparatus respectively, and regarding the print product produced by using the production apparatus, inspects the determined first inspection item and the second inspection item respectively, and obtains an inspection result.
Information processing apparatus with which deterioration of colorimetric accuracy is suppressed, image forming system including the information processing apparatus, and computer readable storage medium
An information processing apparatus includes: a selection unit configured to select, based on a selection criterion, one or more first colorimetric regions in an image to be formed based on image data; an input/output control unit configured to receive a first user input for selecting one or more second colorimetric regions from the one or more first colorimetric regions selected by the selection unit; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a print job including information indicating the one or more second colorimetric regions and the image data, to an image forming apparatus.
Method for controlling image forming apparatus by generating learned model and image forming apparatus with learned model
An image forming apparatus includes a member having a certain function, a learned model, and an estimation unit. The learned model is obtained by learning of a self-organizing map model having an input layer and an output layer. The estimation unit gives multidimensional input data related to the member to the input layer, and estimates a state of the member on the basis of one of a plurality of nodes of the output layer.
