A toy construction set comprising operatively interconnectable blocks and connectors. Each of the blocks has one or more apertures formed in relief Each of the connectors has a base in the form of a plate or rod and a plurality of pins attached to the base in a spaced apart arrangement for interconnecting blocks. The pins are integral with the base plate. The interconnection between a block and a connector is achieved by the pins being positively engaging and releasably retained within one or more of the apertures of the blocks. The pins are oppositely disposed of a base plate so that a block can be connected to a connector on one side of the base plate, and another block can be connected to the same connector on the other side of the plate.

A method for building large-scale play structures having an ideal modularity is provided. The method includes providing panels having a thickness, a planar-quadrangle shape including a length, a width and four chamfered edges with a set of holes located along each edge, the holes located at a fixed interval relative to one another, the fixed interval providing a unit of length, a fixed-location fastening element located in each of the holes, respectively; providing a plurality of movable fastening elements each including a hand-grip to allow the respective movable fastening element to be moved between an unsecured position and a secured position without the use of tools when received by any one of the plurality of fixed-location fastening elements; and employing the fasteners to secure a plurality of the panels to one another to provide a structure that has an overall height, an overall length and an overall width, the structure including at least a pair of panels oriented one above the other and at least a pair of panels located at the same elevation and secured at right angles to one another.

A toy construction element includes a first face recessed from a second face by a recess height, a first peg extending from the second face, and an engaging member disposed on the first face. The first peg has a first peg height relative to the second face. The engaging member may include a column portion and a peg portion, wherein the column portion extends from a first end portion at the first face to a second end portion at which the peg portion is disposed. The column portion may have a column height substantially equal to the recess height, and the peg portion may have a peg portion height substantially equal to the first peg height. A construction set includes one or more hubs and a plurality of tubular struts. Some of the hubs include a central aperture to receive a length of a tubular strut. Some of the hubs include one or more strut coupler prongs arranged radially about the central aperture. Some of the hubs include a central slot adapted to receive a portion of another hub such that the connected hubs are secured at right angles relative to one another.

A modular construction kit includes modular construction blocks, each includes at least one interface face. A toy building brick system includes a base brick having a cubic shape such that the base brick comprises six outer walls.
