NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING CONTROL PROGRAM FOR COLOR CALIBRATION AND CONTROL DEVICE
Provided are a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a control program for creating a database for use in color calibration and that storing a control program for a judgement based on the database. The control programs cause a computing device to perform the following operations. The database-creating operations include calculating a white-ground color difference using a print medium, and repeating a feedback adjustment of a color correction LUT, to obtain a resulting color accuracy. The operations further include obtaining white-ground color differences and resulting color accuracies for plural paper products of a certain print medium type, to obtain a mathematical relation and create a database. The judgement operations include using the database to calculate an estimated resulting color accuracy from a white-ground color difference calculated using a print medium, and judging whether to perform a feedback adjustment of a color correction LUT based on the estimated resulting color accuracy.
Image forming apparatus executing a job based on a job request and logout method
An image forming apparatus includes: a tray on which at least one sheet is loaded; a sensor and a controller. The sensor measures overall weight of the sheet loaded on the tray. The controller calculates decrement from the overall weight measured by the sensor upon completion of a job. The controller calculates total weight of the sheet loaded on the tray through execution of the job. The controller executes a logout process based on the decrement and the total weight.
System and method for selectively sending, delivery and receiving of faxes
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.
Print information processing system detecting cassette by analyzing image and determining whether detected cassette satisfies specific condition
A print information processing system includes a terminal device, and a server. The terminal controller controls an image capturing device to capture an image representing at least part of a cassette and acquiring the captured image. The cassette accommodates print medium therein. A server storage stores information concerning a specific content including at least one of print data and information available for editing the print data. The system performs a detection process detecting the cassette by analyzing the captured image and a determination process determining whether the detected cassette satisfies a specific condition. The server controller performs an information transmission process transmitting the information concerning the specific content to the terminal device in a case where the determination process determines that the detected cassette satisfies the specific condition. The information transmission process is not performed in a case where the detected cassette does not satisfy the specific condition.
Inspection system, inspection apparatus, and method for controlling the inspection apparatus
An inspection apparatus that inspects the quality of a printed product printed by a print apparatus receives information indicating a reference image, from an information processing apparatus that transmits a print job to the print apparatus. The inspection apparatus acquires the reference image based on the information indicating the reference image. The inspection apparatus receives from the print apparatus a scanned image of the printed product printed based on the print job received from the information processing apparatus, and inspects the quality of the printed product based on a comparison between the received scanned image and the acquired reference image.
DETERMINING ALIGNMENT USING FIDUCIALS
A print apparatus is disclosed. In some examples, the print apparatus comprises a print head to deposit print agent onto a substrate; a detector to detect a fiducial; a first light source to back-illuminate the substrate, such that light from the first light source is to be detected by the detector through the substrate; and processing apparatus. The processing apparatus is to operate the print head to deposit print agent to form a first fiducial on a first side of the substrate, the first fiducial comprising a shape of a first colour and having a first dimension, and a background of print agent of a second, different colour, wherein the first dimension of the shape does not exceed a corresponding dimension of the background; operate the print head to deposit print agent to form a second fiducial on a second, opposite side of the substrate, the second fiducial comprising an inverted version of the shape of the first colour; operate the first light source to back-illuminate the substrate; operate the detector to detect the first and second fiducials; and determine whether the first fiducial is aligned with the second fiducial. A method and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.
CONTROL DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING CONTROL DEVICE
A control device includes a first control unit, including a first controller, to operate in a first operation mode and be powered off in a second operation mode in which a power consumption is lower than in the first operation mode; a second control unit, including a second controller, to operate in the first operation mode and the second operation mode; and a power supply controller to control power supply to the first control unit and the second control unit. The second control unit includes a communication interface to perform communication with the first control unit and stop operating in the second operation mode, an abnormality detector to detect an abnormality of the second controller, and a system controller to cause the communication interface to start an operation and the power supply controller to activate the first control unit, based on detection of the abnormality in the second operation mode.
READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A reading device includes a visible light source to irradiate a subject with light having a visible wavelength; an invisible light source to irradiate the subject with light having an invisible wavelength; first and second image sensors to receive reflected light from the subject being irradiated with the light having the visible wavelength and the light having the invisible wavelength, and circuitry. The first image sensor generates visible image data containing a first invisible component, and the second image sensor generates invisible image data of a second invisible component. The circuitry removes the first invisible component contained in the visible image data using the invisible image data. The circuitry multiplies the invisible image data with the correction coefficient that absorbs an individual variation in removal of the first invisible component, and the correction coefficient is generated based on the visible image data and the invisible image.
