PRINTING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
In a system that verifies a print detect in a printed sheet, inconsistency between the sheet side at the time of reference image registration and that at the time of verification processing is prevented from occurring without imposing complicated work on a user. An image on a sample sheet is registered in advance as a reference image in association with the sheet side and at the same time, the sheet discharge setting for the sample sheet is stored. Verification is performed by matching the sheet side associated with the reference image and the verification-target side of the printed sheet based on the sheet discharge setting stored as a sheet discharge setting in the print processing.
Image forming apparatus having plurality of conveyance modes
An image forming apparatus includes an image formation unit configured to form an image on a sheet at a formation position; a circulatory conveyance path for conveying the sheet with the image formed at the formation position on a first side thereof to the formation position again; a reading unit configured to read the first side of the sheet conveyed through the circulatory conveyance path and output image information; and a conveyance control unit configured to convey the sheet in one conveyance mode out of a plurality of conveyance modes when the reading unit reads the first side of the sheet. A range, in a conveyance direction, of the sheet that can be read by the reading unit while a conveyance speed of the sheet is constant is different for each of the plurality of conveyance modes.
Mapping a user's selection for a finishing job to subsystems of an imaging device
Disclosed is a novel system and method to enables users to map a user's intent finishing selections for a finishing job to each subsystem, e.g., device, protocol, ADF, and finisher unit, of an imaging device. The presently claimed invention creates distinct perspectives and a way to map between perspectives. The distinct perspectives include intent orientation, a print protocol, ADF, copy/scan/fax platen, device, and finisher unit. Through use of novel transformation for automating image rotations to dramatically reduce errors with understandable and repeatable correct outcomes. The formal algorithmic and mathematical approaches disclosed in the present invention makes it easier to describe subsystems of an imaging device. The software implementation using this novel approach eliminates the need for conditional logic based programming customized for each imaging device and its various subsystems.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING AN IMAGE PROCESSING PROGRAM
An image processing apparatus includes an anomaly detecting unit configured to detect anomalies included in a target image; and an anomaly exclusion processing unit configured to exclude a specific anomaly among the detected anomalies. Further, the anomaly exclusion processing unit excludes one of an anomaly and another anomaly among the detected anomalies, if (a) a detection area of the anomaly, a detection area of the other anomaly, and an overlapping area of the detection areas of the anomaly and the other anomaly satisfy a predetermined condition and (b) a type of the anomaly and a type of the other anomaly are different from each other.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a memory and processing circuitry. The memory stores log data generated by an execution of a process. The processing circuity stops the execution of the process in a state where the process is being executed and when an amount of the log data in the memory is larger than a first threshold, and restarts the execution of the process in a state where the execution of the process is stopped and when the amount of the log data in the memory is smaller than a second threshold that is smaller than the first threshold.
Solid-state imaging element and electronic device
An imaging device and an electronic apparatus including an imaging device are provided. The imaging device includes a substrate and plurality of pixel regions, wherein each pixel region includes: a first photoelectric conversion portion that performs photoelectric conversion according to a first wavelength of incident light; a first reading portion that reads charges converted by the first photoelectric conversion portion; a first storage unit that is formed between adjacent pixels and stores the charges read by the first reading portion; a second photoelectric conversion portion that performs photoelectric conversion according to a second wavelength different from the first wavelength; a second reading portion that reads charges converted by the second photoelectric conversion portion; and a second storage unit that is formed between adjacent pixels and stores the charges read by the second reading portion.
Image forming apparatus, image processing method, and image forming method for speeding up continuous monochrome document in auto color mode
Provided is an image forming apparatus that speeds up the auto color mode. The image forming apparatus includes a document reading unit that reads a document including a plurality of pages and outputs image data and can determine whether the document is a color document or a monochrome document. In the document read by the document reading unit, when monochrome pages of the first specific number of pages or more continues in the same job, a document determining unit predicts that the subsequent page is also determined to be a monochrome document. When the document is predicted by the document determination unit to be a monochrome document, an image processing unit performs monochrome image processing for the monochrome document on the image data immediately after reading.
Image recording apparatus and image recording job grouping method
A controller is configured to store a received print job in a RAM or an EEPROM, determine whether to group multiple print jobs in response to receipt of input to an input I/F, obtain device status information in response to determine to grouping the multiple print jobs, generate size information and sheet information matching to the device status information as a group key, group the multiple print jobs including size information and sheet information matching the group key, and display the group, in a selectable manner, as a subject of image recording on a display.
Image forming apparatus with registered correct answer image to verify printed image, image forming method, and storage medium
An image printed on a recording sheet is read, and read images excluding a defective image are displayed on a display unit. An instruction to use a displayed image as a correct answer image is accepted, and an image generated from the accepted image is registered as a correct answer image to be used for verification.
Device and method for calibrating a scanned image orientation and outputting the calibrated scanned image
An image outputting device includes a scanning module, a storage module, an identification module, a calibration module and a printing module. The scanning module generates an image by scanning an object. The storage module stores the image. The identification module identifies a layout orientation and a text orientation of the image. The calibration module calibrates the layout orientation and the text orientation of the image according to a relation of an identification result of the identification module and a layout orientation of the printing medium. When the printing module prints the calibrated image on a printing surface of the printing medium and outputs the printing medium with the printing surface facing downwardly, the layout orientation of the printed image matches with the layout orientation of the printing medium, and the text orientation of the printed image is opposite to an medium outputting direction or arranged from proximal to distal.
