As the audio device for outputting the message is specified according to the contents of the message, the message is notified from the specified audio device.

The present invention provides a technique that enables an image communication apparatus capable of performing voice communication and T.30 in-band FAX communication over the IP network to positively detect a CNG signal and achieve switching to FAX reception in the answerphone connection mode and the FAX/TEL-switching mode. The communication apparatus includes a MODEM that controls facsimile communication and a SLIC that controls a telephone. A selector includes switches for connecting the IP network and the MODEM, and switches for connecting the IP network and the SLIC. A CPU controls the switches of the selector such that signals from the IP network are supplied to both of the MODEM and the SLIC.

When a third party submits an image to the web server or authentication centric entity, the submitted image is compared with the stored watermarked image for authentication and validation of the submitted image, and the metadata is then retrieved to enable analysis of the contents of authenticated and validated image.

The present disclosure is directed to a printing device, a system, and a method. The printing device according to one embodiment includes a chassis substantially housing a sheet feeder, a sheet conveyor, and a print applicator; a microphone externally mounted to the chassis for converting audio signals sensed by the microphone external to the printing device to a raw analog electrical signal; an analog low-pass filter for filtering out high frequency harmonics from the raw analog electrical signal to result in a filtered electrical signal; a controller comprising an analog-to-digital port, a processor, and a memory. The controller receives the filtered electrical signal at the analog-to-digital port and samples the filtered electrical signal at a sample rate of at least twice a bandwidth of the filtered analog electrical signal to result in a sampled signal clip. The controller determines a time duration of a portion of the sampled signal clip associated with a print cycle event. The controller stores in the memory data associated with the sampled signal clip for comparison with a training signal clip associated with the print cycle event.
