An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

A server includes memory storing management information including: first correspondence information representing correspondence between an output format for printing process and price for the printing process based on the output format; and second correspondence information representing correspondence between an account information of a user and balance spendable by the user and a controller configured to perform: receiving a printing request using an account information item; determining whether an object price is equal to or less than an object balance; if the object price is more than the object balance, extracting candidate output format that is different from the object output format and usable to perform a printing process based on the printing request within the object balance, with reference to the first correspondence information; and transmitting information representing the extracted candidate output format to an external device.

A document scanning apparatus includes a controller configured to control an image scanner to scan a document sheet, thereby generating scanned image data, control a communication interface to transmit, to a storage, an instruction for inquiring whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in a folder of the storage, control the communication interface to receive data existence information representing whether there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, when the data existence information represents that there is one or more pieces of image data stored in the folder, control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to remove the one or more pieces of image data from the folder, and control the communication interface to transmit, to the storage, an instruction to store the scanned image data generated by the image scanner, into the folder.

An electronic apparatus according to the present invention includes at least one memory and at least one processor which function as: a first acquisition unit configured to acquire a captured image; and a control unit configured to perform control, so that a file of the image acquired by the first acquisition unit is recorded in a storage, in response to an image capturing instruction from a user, wherein in a case where a partial range of the captured image is displayed on a display as a live view image, the control unit further performs control so that a thumbnail image corresponding to the live view image is recorded in association with the file.

The present disclosure relates to a still image generating apparatus that generates still image data from moving image data that generates a moving image, and includes a recorder and a control unit. The recorder is configured to record the still image data. When a specific frame image is selected from a plurality of frame images included in the moving image, the control unit sets a specific frame image group including the specific frame image and other frame images having a reference relationship with the specific frame image. The control unit generates the still image data corresponding to each of the plurality of frame images included in the specific frame image group by decoding the moving image data. The control unit causes the recorder to record the generated still image data. The control unit generates frame image data that generates at least one of the plurality of frame images included in the specific frame image group based on the still image data recorded by the recorder.

An information processing apparatus that generates a file in a prescribed image file format is provided. The information processing apparatus accepts a designation of a storage condition to be satisfied by image data to be stored in the prescribed image file format, obtains image data, and generates the file such that one or more image data included in the obtained image data and satisfying the storage condition are stored in one of the prescribed image file format and such that image data included in the obtained image data and not satisfying the storage condition is not stored in the one of the prescribed image file format.

An information processing system includes an intermediary apparatus communicable with a target apparatus, and an information processing apparatus, communicable with the intermediary apparatus, including circuitry. In response to reception of identification information from an operation terminal that has received the identification information from an external source, the circuitry provides information on a candidate service to be associated with the target apparatus to the operation terminal when the received identification information is not registered in association with any service. To provide an image forming system by which a printed object can be obtained in a short time after a request for image formation is issued, an image forming system includes an information processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus connected to the information processing apparatus via a network to form an image. The information processing apparatus includes a first determining unit, a second determining unit, a transmission control unit, and a transmitting unit. The first determining unit determines whether an electronic file is opened. In a case where the first determining unit determines that the electronic file is opened, the second determining unit determines whether a specific action related to image formation of the electronic file is detected. In a case where the second determining unit determines that the specific action related to image formation of the electronic file is detected, the transmission control unit controls image data related to the electronic file to be transmitted to the image forming apparatus.

An image forming apparatus is provided which stops, in a case where a license is determined to be invalid, periodic transmission of a state notification to a processing server until the license is determined to be valid thereafter. Further, the image forming apparatus does not output a job history that is recorded while the license is invalid to the processing server. The image forming apparatus stops recording a job history in response to the image processing apparatus being unregistered from the processing server.

There are provided a printer, a digital camera with a printer, and a printing method which are capable of simply printing a desired image. In the digital camera with a printer, a first storage area and a second storage area are provided in storage areas of an internal memory. A printed image is recorded in the first storage area. A captured image is recorded in the second storage area. A first playback mode and a second playback mode are provided as a playback mode. In a case where the first playback mode is selected, the image recorded in the first storage area is played, and in a case where the second playback mode is selected, the image recorded in the second storage unit is played. The image being played is printed according to a print instruction.
