Recall device

A small wearable recall device is provided to capture images triggered by a combination of a detection of a capture condition (e.g., changes in motion, temperature or light level) followed by a relatively stable period, as detected by an accelerometer. By triggering on the combination of a detected capture condition followed by a detected stability condition, a clearer image of the environment of an interesting event is expected to be captured. The small size of the recall device makes it possible to integrate it into common portable consumer products, such as MP3 players, purses, clothing, hats, backpacks, necklaces, collars, and other human-wearable products.

A document camera device includes a processor that executes a procedure. The procedure includes: performing control so as to display, in cutout processing that cuts out and saves, from an image imaging a subject, an image corresponding to an inside of a region designated for the subject, an image specifying a region associated with identification information of a subject targeted by the current cutout processing on the subject targeted by the current cutout processing, based on history information associated with identification information of the subject and with the region in cutout processing that was executed in the past; and performing processing that, when a region specified by an image specifying the region has been selected, sets an image cut out and saved from inside the selected region as an image that has been cut out by the current cutout processing.

Method and system for hosting entity-specific photo-sharing websites for entity-specific digital cameras

A system and method hosts entity-specific photo-sharing websites for entity-specific image capture devices. The system and method provides software for the entity-specific image capture devices that causes the image capture devices to transmit entity ID information when the image capture devices transmit images over the Internet. The system and method further provide an online photosharing service capable of hosting the entity-specific photo-sharing websites for each of the entities, such that when the image capture devices connect to photo-sharing service, the photo-sharing service uses the entity ID received from the image capture devices to automatically associate the image with the photo-sharing websites of the identified entity.

An image management apparatus includes a determination unit and a transfer unit. The determination unit is configured to determine a type of a target image represented by image data transmitted from an external apparatus. The transfer unit is configured to transfer, in a case where the type of the target image determined by the determination unit is an original image, the image data of the target image to an information management apparatus configured to generate, from an input image, a proxy image having a smaller amount of data than the input image.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR TRIGGERING ACTIONS BASED ON DATA CAPTURE AND CHARACTERIZATION

Systems, apparatuses and methods for triggering actions in response to capturing and characterizing image data. Real-time characterization techniques include object and shape recognition analytics to detect specifically designated content in captured image data. Actions are triggered based upon such detection. Global data access and distribution systems and methods are provided, particularly for use by law enforcement agencies and designated alert systems.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATION AND SHARING OF SELECTIVELY ANIMATED DIGITAL PHOTOS

A method of generating distributable and/or shareable selectively animated images comprising the steps of: (a) opening a client computer program, implemented as client computer program loaded on a mobile device; (b) capturing or accessing a video content; (c) using a user interface of the client computer program, a user drawing a path or region on an image frame from the video content to be animated (animated region), wherein the client computer program generated based on the animated region a mask, wherein the mask represents the static portion of a selectively animated image, and the mask is operable to mask underlying animated regions; and (d) the client computer program initiating, at the mobile device or via a server linked to the mobile device, the composition of a series of images including user selected animated regions, by rendering an animated image based on mask and the underlying masked animated regions. A computer program is provided for implementing the steps of the method, which may consist of a mobile application. The computer program may include a server application that cooperates with the mobile application for enabling the animated image composition processes and/or distribution and sharing of the animated images. A computer system is provided that includes a mobile device implementing the mobile application and optionally a server implementing the server application.

METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to a an electronic device such as a digital camera 300 that includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment a digital camera keep track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, a deletion criteria is used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

Presenting images from slow image-event stream

A method of dynamically presenting temporally ordered image events includes providing a pre-determined presentation rate and a corresponding pre-determined presentation period; using a processor to receive at irregular intervals a plurality of temporally ordered image events at an average image event rate less than the presentation rate; storing the received image events in an ordered list corresponding to the order in which the image events were received; accessing, according to a pre-determined rule, stored image events from the ordered list; sequentially presenting the accessed image events for the presentation period; and interrupting the sequential presentation of the stored image events when a new image event is received and presenting the received new image event for the presentation period and resuming the sequential presentation of the accessed image events.
