An apparatus that creates an electronic album laying-out images in units of pages from a plurality of image files, comprising a management unit which manages, by classifying into a plurality of pre-set categories, templates that define a location region of an image to be located in a page, a setting unit which sets one of the plurality of categories for each page, a decision unit which analyzes image files that are targets to include in an electronic album, and decides images that are targets to lay out in each page, and a layout unit which lays out each decided image as a target to lay out to a page of interest, by using a template classified into a category set to a page of interest by the setting unit from the templates managed by the management unit.

A display control apparatus includes an acquiring unit, a generating unit, and a display control unit. The acquiring unit acquires an image data group. The generating unit generates a layout image of a spread page, an image based on image data selected from the image data group acquired by the acquiring unit being arranged in the layout image. The display control unit causes a display unit to display a preview image of the layout image of the spread page generated by the generating unit based on a gloss parameter. The gloss parameter is used in varying a glossiness of the page of the preview image depending on a position of an end of the page in the preview image.
Proactive creation of image-based products
A method for proactively creating an image product includes storing a library of specification terms for image products by a computer system, receiving a command from a user, tokenizing the command into a plurality of tokens by the computer system, matching one or more of the tokens to the specification terms in the library to determine specification parameters for an image product by the computer system, automatically identifying images based on the specification parameters by the computer system, and automatically creating a design for the image product that incorporates at least some of the images identified based on the specification parameters.

A digital image display device comprising: a display screen; a processor; a network connection for receiving digital media assets provided by a plurality of individuals; an image memory; a user interface for receiving input from a user of the digital image display device; and a program memory. The program memory stores instructions to execute the steps of: receiving a digital media asset; displaying the received digital media asset on the display screen; determining an asset classification for the displayed digital media asset; selecting a set of classified feedback message choices responsive to the determined asset classification; displaying the selected set of feedback message choices, receiving input from the user to select a particular feedback message choice; and providing an indication of the selected feedback message to the individual who provided the displayed digital media asset.

Information processing with detection of the falsification of an image is disclosed. In one example, an information processing device includes a color conversion unit that makes an estimate of color conversion applied to a second image generated by image editing on a first image, and outputs a color conversion trial result in which color conversion according to the estimate is applied to the first image. A judgement unit compares the color conversion trial result with the second image to judge the presence or absence of falsification in the second image. The technology can be applied, for example, to a falsification detection system that detects whether image editing for falsifying an image has been performed when the image is uploaded to social media.
