A method for proactively creating an image product includes capturing an image of an object in a first environment by a device, storing a library of personalized products each characterized by a product type, automatically recognizing the object in the image as having a product type associated with the library of personalized products, automatically creating a design for the personalized product of the product type using personalized content, automatically displaying the design of the personalized product of the product type incorporating the selected photo in the first environment on the device, and manufacturing a physical product based on the design of the personalized product.

A control method for an image processing apparatus that generates a layout image by arranging an image in a template includes making an evaluation of a first image data group acquired from acquired moving image data based on a first evaluation axis and making an evaluation of a second image data group acquired from acquired still image data based on a second evaluation axis different from the first evaluation axis.

An image processing apparatus includes circuitry to acquire input image data, perform image conversion on the input image data to generate the output image data corresponding to each of a plurality of output conditions, and calculate a color feature amount that is a change amount of color characteristics of each pixel from the input image data and the output image data before and after the image conversion. The circuitry calculates cost information indicating cost of the output image data corresponding to each of the plurality of output conditions, based on the plurality of output conditions and the output image data, and calculates cost effectiveness with reference to the color feature amount, the cost information, and a weighting table in which weights for items of the plurality of output conditions are set, to determine one output condition of the plurality of output conditions to be used for output.

The method comprises obtaining a camera live stream from a camera in a user device, the camera live stream including image data of a particular product; determining one or more image features common to images of one or more products based at least on image analysis of image data of the images of the one or more products; comparing the one or more image features to one or more image features of the image data of the particular product to generate one or more potential adjustments to the one or more image features of the image data of the particular product; and providing, for presentation together with the camera live stream on the user device, at least one indication based on the one or more potential adjustments to the one or more image features of the image data of the particular product.

A method and apparatus for managing multiple views of graphics data. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a display operable to display a graphical user interface (GUI); multi-view generation logic coupled to the display to select, using the GUI, a plurality of images for a plurality of views that are to appear on a product and to generate a multi-view graphics file containing multiple views; and a graphics rendering module to generate a two-dimensional (2-D) view on the display for use in printing on a 2-D printer and to generate a three-dimensional (3-D) graphical representation of the product on the display, the graphics rendering module being responsive to an input to display different portions of the 3-D graphical representation of the product.
