IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image data acquirer, a display, an operation device, a storage, an image forming device, and a controller. When the operation device accepts a command to display the image in one piece of the image data from the list of the acquired image data, the controller causes the display to display a list of the images of all the pages in the one piece of the image data and to store the image of the page selected by the user from the images of all the pages on the list. When the operation device accepts an image formation execution command, the controller causes the image forming device to form an image based on the image data of the selected page related to all the image data stored in the storage.
CONTROL METHOD
The object of the present disclosure is to present a layout reflecting a preference. One embodiment of the present disclosure is a control method including: outputting an estimated feature value based on first layout data generated by a user; generating an album creation parameter based on the output estimated feature value; generating layout data based on the generated album creation parameter and an image used for second layout data generated by a user; and updating the album creation parameter based on a feature value based on the generated layout data and a feature value based on the second layout data.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes an acquisition section that acquires a document, a first extraction section that extracts elements that need processing regarding copyrights from elements constituting the acquired document, a second extraction section that extracts use conditions of the extracted elements, a first presenting unit that presents at least part of the extracted use conditions, a receiving section that receives designation of wanted and unwanted elements among the extracted elements, a second presenting section that presents a total fee obtained by adding fees indicated by use conditions of the wanted elements to a fee for outputting the document, and an output section that, in response to payment of the total fee, outputs the edited document. In the edited document, the unwanted elements have been edited to comply with the use conditions.
CONTROL METHOD
A control method includes outputting an estimated feature value based on first layout data generated by a user, generating an album creation parameter based on the output estimated feature value, generating layout data based on the generated album creation parameter and an image used for second layout data generated by a user, and updating the album creation parameter based on a feature value based on the generated layout data and a feature value based on the second layout data. The first data and the second are uploaded to a server. When a number of pieces of layout data uploaded to the server is fewer than a predetermined number, data in units of album double-page spreads is used as the first layout data. When the number of layout data uploaded to the server is greater than the predetermined number, data in units of albums is used as the first layout data.
Proactive creation of personalized products
A method for proactively creating an image product includes capturing an image of an object in a first environment by a device, storing a library of personalized products each characterized by a product type, automatically recognizing the object in the image as having a product type associated with the library of personalized products, automatically creating a design for the personalized product of the product type using personalized content, automatically displaying the design of the personalized product of the product type incorporating the selected photo in the first environment on the device, and manufacturing a physical product based on the design of the personalized product.
Cloud-based scanning systems and remote image processing methods
A cloud-based document scanning system includes a cloud computing platform having a cloud computing application and a cloud storage system. The system further includes a scanning device communicatively coupled over a network to the cloud computing platform, the scanning device configured to: accept a set of documents; generate a set of digital image files corresponding to the set of documents; store the set of digital image files; and upload the set of digital image files directly to the cloud storage system. Upon receiving a request from the scanning device, the cloud computing application is configured to: access the set of digital image files; apply image processing operations to the set of digital image files in accordance with a plurality of image processing parameters, generate a portable document format document based on the processed image files, and send the portable document format document to a user-selected destination.

An image processing apparatus performs multiple image processes on target image information. The image processing apparatus has a control unit. The plurality of image processes include a first image process group including first image processes, and a second image process group including second image processes. The second image processes do not overlap with the first image processes. An instruction receiving unit receives a return instruction to return a deleted image IMD deleted from an album page to the album page. A return processing unit executes a return process of returning the deleted image IMD to the album page in response to the return instruction. An extracting unit executes an extraction process of extracting, from among a plurality of deleted images IMD, an identical-attribute image IMS which is a deleted image IMD whose attribute is identical to an attribute of an image IM present in the album page at a current position of scroll display. A list display processing unit executes a list display process of displaying, together with the album page, a list of identical-attribute images IMS.

An image forming apparatus includes a storage unit to store recording sheets, an image forming unit, an insertion unit, including an interleaving sheet tray on which an interleaving sheet is to be stacked, and to insert the interleaving sheet fed from the interleaving sheet tray between recording sheets conveyed from the image forming unit. The control unit selects between a first mode and a second mode to execute based on a detected remaining amount of recording sheets in the storage unit. The first mode is a mode for feeding the interleaving sheet, which is to be inserted, from the interleaving sheet tray regardless of whether a presence of the recording sheet in the storage unit is detected. The second mode is a mode for feeding the interleaving sheet from the interleaving sheet tray based on that presence of the recording sheet in the storage unit is detected.
