There is provided a control method for an image processing apparatus that generates a plurality of pieces of album data corresponding to a plurality of albums, the plurality of pieces of album data including a common page, which is a page common to all of the plurality of pieces of album data, and an individual page, which is a page not common to all of the plurality of pieces of album data. At least one image data group out of at least one image data group specified as a common image data group is controlled in such a way as not to be specified as an individual image data group.

A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for ordering and facilitating payment of a print product. The method comprises storing a digital image in a memory; allowing for the selection of a print product to establish a print order that includes an identification of the selected product and an order cost; generating a unique payment link that corresponds to the print order and provides a mobile computing device with access to communicate with a remote payment processing system to provide payment for the print order; providing access to the unique payment link; receiving a payment notification from the payment processing system indicating that a payment authorization has been received through use of the unique payment link by the mobile computing device, wherein the payment authorization is for an amount equal to the order cost; and allowing for the fulfillment of the print order using a printing device.

A device and algorithm for allowing a customer to choose a photo book cover template that is compatible with a photo having faces. The photo is compared with a set of templates arranged in a first order to determine how compatible the photo is to each of the templates, and a score indicative of compatibility is assigned. A re-sorted set of compatible templates combined with the photo is presented to the customer for consideration.

The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. An example processor-implemented method for retrieving a video in accordance with the present disclosure is receiving an entry of a name tag identifying a first user in a video application, assigning a second user as a contact to the first user based on the received entry of the name tag in the video application, receiving, by a viewing module of the video application, an image of a still frame extracted from a portion of a video, wherein the name tag is associated with the still frame, and the video is associated with the first user, generating, by the viewing module of the video application, a trigger based on the received image, identifying the video based on the generated trigger, and providing permission for the second user to receive the video based on a verification that the second user is a contact of the first user.

An album generation apparatus comprises a first acquisition unit configured to acquire identification information for identifying a combination of a user and a mobile object, a second acquisition unit configured to acquire one or more images from one or more image capturing apparatuses, a selection unit configured to select, from the one or more images, an image including the combination of the user and the mobile object by using the identification information, and a generation unit configured to generate an album by using the selected image.

Provided is a method of controlling an image processing apparatus capable of controlling album data for a first subject containing a common page and an individual page for the first subject, and album data for a second subject containing the common page and an individual page for the second subject. The method includes specifying a change target for a page contained in the album data for the first subject.

A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for ordering and facilitating payment of a print product. The method comprises storing a digital image in a memory of the computing system; allowing for the selection of a print product using a user interface accessed by a user computing device to establish a print order, wherein the print product includes the digital image, and wherein the print order includes an identification of the selected print product and an order cost; generating a unique payment link by the processor that corresponds to the print order and provides a user computing device with access to communicate payment information to a remote payment processing system; providing access to the unique payment link to the user computing device; receiving a payment notification at the processor from the remote payment processing system; and allowing for fulfillment of the print order using a printing device.
