Electronic device improved in object detection performance, image capturing apparatus, method of controlling electronic device, and storage medium
An electronic device that is improved in object detection performance exhibited when executing a specific function. A system controller detects one or more objects from image data, evaluates feature values of the one or more detected objects, and identifies an object out of the one or more objects, that satisfies a predetermined criterion related to execution of a specific function, based on a result of the evaluation. The specific function is executed in a case where it is determined that the identified object satisfies an execution condition of the specific function.
Information processing system and reading device for acquiring target content information from recording medium and outputting information about erroneous recording medium
An information processing system includes a processor configured to: make an attempt to acquire, from recording medium images obtained by reading a plurality of recording media, target content information recorded on each of the plurality of recording media; and among the plurality of recording media, output information about an erroneous recording medium, the erroneous recording medium being (a) a recording medium of which the attempted acquisition of the target content information has been unsuccessful or (b) a recording medium of which the target content information acquired by the attempted acquisition does not satisfy a predetermined condition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING DIGITAL IMAGE DATA REPRESENTING MULTIPLE VIEWS OF AN OBJECT OF INTEREST
Systems and methods for processing digital image data representing multiple views of an object of interest use a sparse set of digital images along with object of interest profiling to provide a photo gallery for evidence-related workflows. Digital images are related to each other on the basis of common objects of interest represented in the images and their orientations within the views depicted in each image. Object of interest profile datasets, including spatial orientation data, enable efficient tracking of photography sessions in which a set of prescribed views of an object of interest are meant to be captured, as well as object-orientation-based photo gallery navigation. The systems recognize of a set of physical gestures that enable a user to intuitively navigate among digital images depicting different views of an object of interest based on how they were physically related to each other when captured.
System and method for automatically displaying variable image content in an image product
A computer-implemented method for automatically displaying variable image content in an image product includes automatically obtaining markers in photos or videos in a user account which includes detecting features in image content of the photos or the video frames and obtaining a marker for one of the photos or the video frames, automatically identifying a sequence of similar photos or videos if the markers detected in the photos or the associated video frames include more than a predetermined number or percentage of common features, detecting a marker in a photo product by a user device when the photo product is viewed by the user device, identifying a marked photo incorporated in the photo product based on the marker detected in the photo product, and enabling photos or videos in a sequence photos or videos associated with the marked photo to be displayed on the user device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECOMMENDING AND/OR SELECTING MEDIA FOR PRINTING A DIGITAL IMAGE
A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for recommending at least one substrate to be used in conjunction with a digital image to form a print product is provided. The method comprises: providing a digital image; providing a list of available substrates stored in a memory; utilizing a processor, analyzing the digital image to identify image content and at least one image characteristic included in the digital image; automatically identifying at least one substrate from the list of available substrates utilizing the processor based on at least one of the identified image content or the identified at least one image characteristic; displaying the identified at least one substrate on a display; and allowing for the selection of the identified at least one substrate for fulfillment to produce a print product including the digital image disposed on the selected at least one substrate.
DISPLAY DEVICE PROVIDING FEEDBACK BASED ON IMAGE CLASSIFICATION
A digital image display device comprising: a display screen; a processor; a network connection for receiving digital media assets provided by a plurality of individuals; an image memory; a user interface for receiving input from a user of the digital image display device; and a program memory. The program memory stores instructions to execute the steps of: receiving a digital media asset; displaying the received digital media asset on the display screen; determining an asset classification for the displayed digital media asset; selecting a set of classified feedback message choices responsive to the determined asset classification; displaying the selected set of feedback message choices, receiving input from the user to select a particular feedback message choice; and providing an indication of the selected feedback message to the individual who provided the displayed digital media asset.
GENERATING A COMPOSITE IMAGE FROM A PHYSICAL ITEM
A computer-implemented method includes capturing, with a camera, a first image of a physical item at a first camera position, detecting borders associated with the physical item, based on the first image, generating an overlay that includes a plurality of objects that are positioned within one or more of the borders associated with the physical item, capturing, with the camera, subsequent images of the physical item, where each subsequent image is captured with a respective subsequent camera position, and during capture of the subsequent images, displaying an image preview that includes the overlay. The method further includes establishing correspondence between pixels of the first image and pixels of each of the subsequent images and generating a composite image of the physical item, where each pixel value of the composite image is based on corresponding pixel values of the first image and the subsequent images.
PROCESS FOR CAPTURING CONTENT FROM A DOCUMENT
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a data capture application of a computing device that receives image data for an image of a document and uses the image data to capture content on the document while minimizing glare at the document. The data capture application receives user input for positioning an image token provided for display to a user of the data capture application. Positioning the image token causes adjustment of an attribute value of the image data. In response to receiving the user input the data capture application determines whether the attribute value of the image data satisfies a predefined attribute value. Based on the attribute value satisfying the predefined attribute value, the data capture application generates a composite image of the document using the image data received by the data capture application.
Method and Apparatus For Adjusting Scanning Status
Methods, systems, and devices for adjusting a scanning status are provided. In one example method, a mobile terminal can determine whether a target object is a preset target type. If so, a reference scan parameter is determined corresponding to the preset target type, and a real-time scan parameter is obtained that is used when the mobile terminal performs scanning around the target object. A determination is made as to whether the real-time scan parameter conforms to the reference scan parameter. If it does not, a prompt message used to prompt a user to adjust a scanning status corresponding to a current scan parameter is generated.
Omnistereo capture for mobile devices
Systems and methods for capturing omnistereo content for a mobile device may include receiving an indication to capture a plurality of images of a scene, capturing the plurality of images using a camera associated with a mobile device and displaying on a screen of the mobile device and during capture, a representation of the plurality of images and presenting a composite image that includes a target capture path and an indicator that provides alignment information corresponding to a source capture path associated with the mobile device during capture of the plurality of images. The system may detect that a portion of the source capture path does not match a target capture path. The system can provide an updated indicator in the screen that may include a prompt to a user of the mobile device to adjust the mobile device to align the source capture path with the target capture path.
