A portable electronic device (PED) includes a processor to execute a creative artworks picture application, a geographic position determining to determine a geographic location of the PED, and a transceiver. The transceiver is configured to transmit the geographic location of the PED to the remote server, and receive the themed photograph overlay from the remote server when the geographic location of the PED is within one of the respective geofence regions. A camera takes a photograph within the geofence region the PED is located in, and a display displays the photograph with the at least one themed photograph overlay.

An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image formers each capable of forming, on a sheet, an overlap image and a non-overlap image, a fixer that fixes, on the sheet, a whole image composed of the overlap images and the non-overlap images, and a hardware processor that controls each of the plurality of image formers such that a difference in image at a boundary between the overlap image and the non-overlap image is reduced in the whole image.

The participant event management system (PEMS) receives a request for capturing an image of the participant during the event. The participant proximity detector detects the proximity of the participant to a detection point and receives the participant number. The image capture system receives an instruction for capturing an image of the participant, receives an indication that the participant has been detected, and captures an image of the participant. The timing system receives the preorder request from the PEMS, determines a time of passing of the detection point of the participant, associates the participant event number with the participant identifier number, generates the instruction for capturing the image of the participant, and receives the transmitted captured image.

A method and apparatus for displaying digital photos on a digital display with a network connection module.
