A method for transmitting content and an apparatus therefor are provided. The apparatus includes a transceiver configured to transmit content to an external source, a display configured to display receiver information about the content, and a user interface (UI) element, a memory configured to store identification information of the electronic apparatus, and at least one processor configured to generate a code comprising the identification information, based on a user input of selecting the UI element, receive the receiver information from an external device, and control the display to display the receiver information on the display. The electronic apparatus can use address information stored in the external device, without a separate communication setting with the external device that provides the receiver information.

A system and method for electronic document translation filtering includes an input that receives electronic document data and instruction data corresponding to at least one document processing operation to be performed on the electronic document data. A computer includes a processor and associated memory identifies a language associated with the electronic document data and receives a translation instruction corresponding to at least one target language. The computer applies language filter data specified by the translation instruction to the electronic document data to generate translated electronic document data. A translated electronic document resultant from application of the language filter data to the electronic document data is stored and an output communicates the translated electronic document data to a document processing engine.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having a computer program readable by a computer of a portable device comprising a memory storing a plurality of external programs activated by the computer program and being connectable to an image forming device that executes a formation operation, the computer program causes the portable device to perform: obtaining type information indicating each type of the plurality of external programs; determining whether the corresponding external program is a first type or a second type; pre-processing of activating the external program determined as the first type and obtaining a parameter indicating a condition of generating the image data designated by a user; instructing the image forming device to execute the formation operation; and post-processing of activating the external program determined as the second type with designating the image data formed in the formation operation.

The detection unit detects a sound. The remote operation unit operates the external device with at least one of operations on the external device invalidated, and validates an operation on the external device, which has been invalidated, in the case where a first specific sound is detected by the detection unit with a reception screen for receiving a specific input by a user displayed on the external device.

In one example, a print job is received from a first mobile computing device. The print job is stored in association with a job identifier. The job identifier is sent to the first mobile device. A release code is received from a second mobile computing device. The release code includes the job identifier and a directive regarding printing or forwarding of the job, and was received at the second mobile device from the first device via a wireless transaction. A network-connected printer associated with the second device is identified. Responsive to a determination that the release code is valid, the print job is sent to the printer.

A system which enables an image forming apparatus to give priority to executing a job sent from a mobile information terminal. The mobile information terminal sets an operating mode of the image forming apparatus. When a near-field wireless communication is started by the mobile information terminal coming close to the image forming apparatus, information on the set operating mode is sent to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus provides operating mode shifting control based on the information on the operating mode sent from the mobile information terminal by the near-field wireless communication.
