Thus, it is possible to prevent a USB wireless LAN adapter or the like from being used constantly connected to the front side USB socket and thereby to reduce possibility of USB wireless LAN adapter of being damaged or removed.

An apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a communication unit configured to communicate with a first electronic device, and a control unit operatively coupled with the communication unit, the control unit configured to receive, from the first electronic device via the communication unit, information associated with a playback location of multimedia data, the multimedia data to be presented at a second electronic device operatively coupled with the apparatus, based at least in part on the information, and transmit at least one portion of the multimedia data, to the second electronic device.

In a case where a communication apparatus operates as a master station for determining a communication channel used in wireless communication, the communication apparatus does not transmit information indicating execution of carrier sensing, to a slave station apparatus connected to the master station.

A printing apparatus capable of improving user-friendliness when the user inputs a print job via wireless direct communication in a case where a setting of reservation printing is active. The printing apparatus has a wireless direct communication function and a reservation function for reserving a received print job. A setting unit sets whether or not to use the reservation function. A determination unit determines whether or not the print job received by the printing apparatus is a print job received by the wireless direct communication function. A control unit prints the received print job without reservation according to determination by the determination unit that the received print job is a print job received by the wireless direct communication function, even in a case where use of the reservation function has been set by the setting unit.

A communication apparatus includes: a first type communication unit configured to perform communication with a portable device in a near field communication mode; a display unit; and a control device configured to perform: a receiving process of receiving a radio wave for connection with the portable device in the near field communication mode, from the portable device through the first type communication unit; and a display process of controlling the display unit to display a notice for prompting a user to perform operation for permitting the portable device to transmit information to the communication apparatus in the near field communication mode, in response to receipt of the radio wave in the receiving process.

A function executing device is configured to send a wireless identifier to a communication device via a first type of wireless communication interface for setting up a wireless connection. The function executing device is configured to determine whether the function executing device is in an error state and, if not, to establish the wireless connection via a second type of wireless communication interface. However, if the function executing device is in an error state the wireless connection is not established via the second type of wireless communication interface.

The instruction information is for instructing the input device to transmit the input data to the output device.
