MEDIUM FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A medium feeding device includes a housing, a medium feeding portion that is provided in an inner portion of the housing and delivers sheets of paper, a medium mounting member on which a medium is mounted, and a wireless communication portion that performs wireless communication with another communication terminal, in which the wireless communication portion is provided in the medium mounting member.
Image forming system, image forming apparatus, terminal device and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium
Disclosed is an image forming system including: an image forming apparatus comprising a wireless communication unit; and a terminal device for transmitting a print job to the image forming apparatus, wherein the wireless communication unit executes a wave radio intensity setting process in which the wireless communication unit transmits a received signal intensity request at a predetermined radio wave intensity, receives information from the terminal device, which indicates a received signal intensity at a timing of receiving the received signal intensity request, and sets a radio wave intensity of a radio wave to be transmitted by the wireless communication unit to a set value which is lowered within a range in which the image forming apparatus is communicable with the terminal device in which the received signal intensity indicated in the information is lowest, and the image forming apparatus executes the print job received from the terminal device.
Document scanner and image forming apparatus
A document scanner includes a casing and a document cover disposed above the casing. The casing includes a document glass and houses an image scanner. The document cover has one end portion and the other end portion opposite to the first end portion in a first direction and is configured to pivotally move about the one end portion between a closed position in which the other end portion covers the document glass and an open position in which the other end portion uncovers the document glass. The other end portion has an end surface that intersects, when the document cover is at the closed position, with an upper surface of the document glass. The end surface has an indication indicating a location to which an external device is to be brought into proximity to establish short-range wireless communication between the document scanner and the external device.
INFORMATION TERMINAL CONFIGURED TO TRANSMIT DATA WITH USE OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATION, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information terminal transmits information relating to user authentication to an image processing apparatus via short-range wireless communication. The image processing apparatus performs processing for the user authentication using the received information, and transitions to a status where a function of the image processing apparatus is used via an operation unit upon condition that the user authentication has succeeded. The information terminal transmits data to be used in any one of individual functions included in the image processing apparatus to the image processing apparatus based on receipt of information indicating successful user authentication from the image processing apparatus. After receiving the data from the information terminal, the image processing apparatus uses the received data as a setting of the function of the image processing apparatus that corresponds to the data.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REPLACING CABLE
An upper unit configured to open and close an upper portion of a lower unit includes: a first reading unit disposed in a medium transport path, the first reading unit being configured to read a surface of a transported medium; a substrate coupled to the first reading unit; a cable having one end and another end, the one end being coupled to a first coupling portion of the first reading unit, the other end being coupled to a second coupling portion of the substrate; and a facing portion facing the lower unit in a state in which the upper unit is closed, the facing portion being configured to be attached to and detached from the upper unit. The cable is disposed at a position exposed when the facing portion is detached from the upper unit.
Information processing system and mobile terminal for providing a service to backup data
An information processing system includes a first information processing apparatus, a second information processing apparatus, and a server configured to provide import data based on backup data of the first information processing apparatus to the second information processing apparatus. The first information processing apparatus transmits identification information regarding the backup data to a mobile terminal through wireless communication. The second information processing apparatus receives the identification information from the mobile terminal through the wireless communication, acquires, based on the identification information, the import data from the server via a network, and executes an import process based on the import data.
Image processing device, method for determining sheet orientation, and sheet
An image processing device includes a printing unit printing an image on a sheet including first and second tags. The first and second tags have first and second antennas extending along first and second directions. The device further includes a tag reading unit including a third antenna and configured to transmit, towards the sheet from the third antenna, first radio waves polarized in the first direction and second radio waves polarized in the second direction in each of a first period during which the sheet is conveyed towards the third antenna and a second period during which the sheet is conveyed away from the third antenna, and determine an orientation of the sheet based on intensities of third radio waves polarized in the first direction and fourth radio waves polarized in the second direction, which have been received by the third antenna in each of the first and second periods.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD FOR INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus is provided and includes a display unit which displays an operation screen. The information processing apparatus controls whether or not to receive setting for a first application from a different apparatus and use the received setting for the first application, in accordance with a type of a screen being displayed on the display unit.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading device includes a processing unit configured to perform short-range radio communication to perform at least one of data reading operation from an information storage unit mounted on an object to be scanned and data writing operation to the information storage unit, a first antenna unit configured to perform the short-range radio communication with the information storage unit mounted on the object to be scanned using a first communication mode, and a second antenna unit configured to perform the short-range radio communication with the information storage unit mounted on the object to be scanned using a second communication mode. In the image reading device, the processing unit performs the short-range radio communication to perform at least one of the data reading operation from the information storage unit and the data writing operation to the information storage unit, using the first communication mode or the second communication mode.
