SYSTEM FOR PRINTING, FOLDING, AND INSERTING PACK SLIPS
A system and method therefor for use with a conveyor carrying cartons inbound to a printing area and outbound away from the printing area. The system has a printer located in the printing area for printing documents to be inserted into corresponding cartons on the conveyor and a controller for cooperatively controlling operations of the conveyor and the printer based on the positions of the cartons relative to the printer. The controller includes a staging processor for determining when to cause the conveyor to carry the cartons inbound past the printer and when to cause the printer to print the documents. In operation, the controller queues the documents for printing, monitors outbound capacity of the conveyor based on detected positions of the cartons, releases a group of the cartons inbound on the conveyor in response to the outbound capacity reaching a predetermined threshold, and initiates printing the queued documents corresponding to the cartons in the group when the group of the cartons is released.

An image inspection apparatus includes: an acquirer that acquires a targeted image to form an image; an alignment calculator that calculates a correction parameter in order to align a targeted image with a read image; an alignment corrector that corrects at least one of a targeted image and a read image by using the correction parameter; and an image inspector that determines a flaw in a read image based on a difference between the targeted image and the read image corrected by the alignment corrector. The alignment corrector saves the correction parameter on a page basis and uses the correction parameter corresponding to a page including an image when aligned.

Allowing for event attendees to print customized event badges may include receiving registration information associated with a particular attendee of a specified event. In response to receiving the registration information, a confirmation message that includes at least one user-selectable link is sent to the particular attendee. In response to interaction with the user-selectable link, information associated with an individual attempting to print a badge associated with the specified event is received. Based on the received information, the individual is determined to be the particular attendee. In response to determining, a user interface that allows for selecting a particular printer to be used for printing the customized event badge associated with the particular attendee is provided. A selection of the particular printer to be used for printing the customized event badge associated with the particular attendee is received. The customized event badge at the particular printer is printed.

In general, an image forming apparatus according to the present embodiment comprises an image forming section, a reading section and a controller. The image forming section forms an image on a sheet. The reading section reads the image on the sheet to generate scan image information. The controller generates background image information obtained by excluding extraction image information from the scan image information and forms the background image information, first identification information of the sheet and orientation information indicating orientation of the sheet on the sheet through the image forming section.

An image forming apparatus includes a communication section configured to receive facsimile data, a console section, a print unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, and a CPU configured to determine whether or not facsimile data received by the communication section can be printed by the print unit. In a case where the facsimile data cannot be printed by the print unit, the CPU displays a screen for enabling a facsimile image of the facsimile data to be displayed on at least an external device. The screen includes a two-dimensional code which enables access to a Web page for displaying the facsimile image on the external device, and the two-dimensional code includes a URL for viewing the facsimile image and authentication information for accessing the image forming apparatus.
Information display system
The information display system includes a printing apparatus and a display terminal. The display terminal's control unit includes a visual recognition determination unit, an image-data extraction unit, a link status determination unit, a link destination information acquisition unit, and a display control unit. The link status determination unit determines whether a page of printed matter visually recognized by a user through lenses contains a representation associated with link destination information. If the link status determination unit determines the presence of the representation associated with the link destination information, the link destination information acquisition unit acquires the link destination information based on the image data extracted by the image-data extraction unit. The display control unit performs control operations to display on the lenses the link destination information acquired by the link destination information acquisition unit so that the user can visually recognize the link destination information.

An information processing device includes: a scanner that performs scanning of a read image of a document and detects a code image included in a scanned region, which is a region where the scanning is completed; and a setting unit that sets, based on the code image detected by the scanner, a scanning region when the scanner scans an unscanned region, in which the scanning by the scanner has not been performed yet.

Provided is technology reducing the capacity required to store actual parameter information by establishing conditions enabling providing actual parameter information to the device that uses the actual parameter information. A control device 5 has label information storage 321 storing label information relationally to combinations of printer 3 models and print media; and actual content storage 322 storing, relationally to the label information, actual parameter information that is used by printers 3 to print to print media. When a combination of printer 3 model and print medium is identified and actual parameter information corresponding to that combination is requested, the control device 5 references the label information storage 321, identifies the label information corresponding to that combination, and acquires actual parameter information from the actual content storage 322 based on the identified label information.
IMAGE SCANNING DEVICE
A method for generating an alert to enable a user to retrieve a printed document from an image scanning device is described. Multiple portions of a digital image of a printed document obtained through the scan task, are identified. Thereafter, movement of a scan-head assembly of an image scanning device is controlled so as to position the scan-head assembly over a target area of the printed document. The scan-head assembly may be activated to capture a reference image and a series of verification images of the target area of the printed document. Thereafter, the reference image and each of the series of images are compared. Based on the comparison, an alert is generated, wherein the alert is to indicate that the printed document is to be retrieved from the scanning device.
