A processing system includes an acquisition portion that acquires information based on a captured image of a user, and a processor that performs a login process and a logout process on an electronic device. When it is determined that a gesture of a user for instructing to log out from the electronic device is performed based on the captured image of the user, the processor performs the logout process.

An image forming apparatus includes a camera that shoots a user's hand raised up in the air, a HDD containing a plurality of hand gestures including actions of the specific finger making contact with another finger, and commands respectively associated with the plurality of hand gestures, a hand gesture recognizer that recognizes the hand gesture, from a plurality of shot images sequentially acquired from the camera, a command acquirer that acquires the command associated with the hand gesture recognized by the hand gesture recognizer, from the HDD, and a controller that performs an operation according to the command acquired by the command acquirer, on the position of a cursor on a screen of a display device.

An image forming apparatus includes a display device, a gesture sensor, and a control device. The control device functions as a controller. When the gesture sensor detects a first gesture, the controller sets the image forming apparatus to a suspend mode and starts counting a first time. When the first time reaches a first threshold value, the controller sets the image forming apparatus to a waiting mode and allows the display device to display a notification indicating the waiting mode. When the gesture sensor detects a second gesture while the notification is displayed, the controller starts counting a second time. An image forming apparatus includes a display device, an input device, a storage, and a communication circuit. The display device is configured to display at least one image for display. The input device is configured to detect a user's selection of an image for display in the at least one image for display and to detect an input, to a drawing region of the display device, of a drawing by a user indicating an image quality abnormality with respect to a target image corresponding to the selected image for display. The storage is configured to store drawing information based on the input of the drawing via the input device and to store estimation abnormality information related to the drawing information. The communication circuit is configured to output the drawing information, which can be used for servicing the image forming apparatus, to a server.

According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a touch panel, a receiving unit, and a control unit. The touch panel detects a touch operation. The receiving unit receives an image in a range including the touch panel photographed by a camera. The control unit detects, based on the image, an input motion by a user for a first operation area set on a first screen of the touch panel, and displays a third screen different from a second screen displayed on the touch panel in response to a touch operation for the first operation area on the touch panel, if the touch operation corresponding to the input motion is not detected by the touch panel.

A processing system includes an acquisition portion that acquires information based on a captured image of a user, and a processor that performs a login process and a logout process on an electronic device. When it is determined that a gesture of a user for instructing to log out from the electronic device is performed based on the captured image of the user, the processor performs the logout process.

On the display, when some of the plurality of LEDs are turned on, a home screen for selecting a function executable by the image formation apparatus, a screen for selecting an operation condition in various types of functions, a screen for confirming the selected function and operation condition, and a screen for executing the function are displayed, and a gesture for instructing an instructable content is notified in each screen. The user views the screen and instructs a desired content with a gesture.

An image forming apparatus includes: a first authenticator that extracts first feature information representing a feature of a face of a user from a face image of the user, and performs face authentication by comparing the first feature information extracted with second feature information representing a feature of the face of the user registered in advance; and a second authenticator that performs authentication of the user by comparing first motion information representing a predetermined motion performed by the user with second motion information representing the predetermined motion of the user registered in advance when at least a part of the information does not match between the first feature information and the second feature information in the face authentication by the first authenticator.
