A digital camera with a printer includes an imaging unit, a print unit that prints an image on a medium and discharges the printed medium, a display unit, a first operation member that is rotated from a first position in a first direction around a rotation axis against biasing force, and is rotated in a second direction opposite to the first direction by the biasing force to be returned to the first position in a case in which the first operation member is released, and a processor. The processor performs specific control in accordance with operation of the first operation member.

An example image forming apparatus may include a display panel, a memory, and a processor connected to the memory and the display panel. The display panel may display a first screen including a highlight indicator and a menu having a menu option displayed in the highlight indicator. Further, the memory may include a screen transition module to receive a selection of the menu option. Further, the screen transition module may perform a screen transition from the first screen to a second screen that displays a submenu option in the highlight indicator. The submenu option is associated with the selected menu option.

An operation apparatus operates an electronic device. The operation apparatus includes a receiver configured to receive a first image from the electronic device; an image generator configured to generate a second image including the first image received by the receiver; a message setter configured to set a message corresponding to a status of the electronic device, with respect to the first image included in the second image; a display configured to display the second image; and a voice sound outputter configured to output, by voice sound, the message set with respect to the first image, in response to a user operating the first image included in the second image being displayed.

A touch key of an operation console includes a circuit board (310) having a light source (312, 314), a light transmitting portion (322) transmitting light, a non-transparent light shielding portion (324) and a semi-transparent operation panel (300) covering upper surfaces of the light transmitting portion and the light shielding portion. The light transmitting portion accommodates the light source. An image forming apparatus includes a main body and a post-processing device. The main body includes an operation panel and a first controller that switches an action mode to a first action mode or a second action mode. The post-processing device includes an operation receiving section and a second controller. The operation receiving section receives an operation by a user and outputs an operation signal. The operation receiving section is in an unreachable position for the user when operating the operation panel. An operation console used in relation to an apparatus as an object of control operated by a user operation includes: a display device having a display area for displaying information to the user; an input device for the user to input a request; and a display control device displaying, if a request for displaying specific information on said display device is input through the input device, the specific information on the display device. The input device includes a plurality of operation buttons for inputting a plurality of requests, corresponding to respective requests, arranged in the vicinity of the display area. Among the plurality of operation buttons, an operation button corresponding to the request for displaying the specific information is provided closest to the display device.
