Extended operation device and image forming apparatus
An extended operation device mountable to and demountable from an apparatus body includes an extended operation device body, an operation device, and a pair of insertion portions. The pair of insertion portions extend in a first direction parallel to an operation surface of the operation device with respect to the extended operation device body. One insertion portion and the other insertion portion of the pair of insertion portions are provided on one side and the other side, respectively, of the extended operation device body with respect to a central position of the extended operation device body in a second direction that is parallel to the operation surface of the operation device and intersects the first direction. The pair of insertion portions are inserted into a pair of insertion holes provided in the apparatus body to mount the extended operation device to the apparatus body.
Information processing apparatus and method for controlling information processing apparatus comprising utilizing hardware numeric keys for character string input into input regions and pressing an input region multiple instances to display a software keyboard for character string input into an input region
A method for controlling an information processing apparatus includes executing first input processing to receive a first input instruction of characters to the input region for input characters while the input region is being displayed, executing second input processing to receive a second input instruction of characters to the input region while the input region is not being displayed. Whether to execute the first input processing or the second input processing is determined according to a user operation for input of at least any of letters, numerals, and symbols in the input region.
PRINTING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.
Document operation performance
Examples dis closed herein relate to receiving a first request to begin a first operation on a physical document, receiving a second request to begin a second operation, determining whether the first operation has completed, and in response to determining that the first operation has not completed, delay performance of the second operation.
All-in-one computer system
Some implementations can include an all-in-one computer system and associated methods.
SYSTEM INCLUDING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS IN WHICH APPLICATION CAPABLE OF CHANGING SETTING OF THE DEVICE OPERATES
A device locks a control panel of the device in response to connection from a device management app of an information processing apparatus. When receiving an operation for releasing the lock via the control panel, the device transmits a notification of stop to the device management app to unlock the control panel. When receiving the notification of stop from the connected device, the device management app of the information processing apparatus stops processing for changing the setting of the device performed by the device management app.
Image capturing apparatus improved in operability of operation section
An image capturing apparatus improved in the operability of an operation section. The image capturing apparatus includes an OTP, a sub electronic dial, and a grip portion that is provided at a location from where a finger can reach the OTP and the sub electronic dial. The sub electronic dial is arranged concentrically with the OTP.
Printing device with user interface
Provided is a printing device that performs printing using a recording material, the printing device including: an capacitive touch panel; and a transport operation portion including a mechanical key for operating a transport position of a print medium for printing, in which a panel installation surface provided with the capacitive touch panel is a surface different from a transport operation portion installation surface provided with the transport operation portion.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE
An information processing device including a numerical value inputter that inputs a numerical value, the information processing device comprising: a display that displays the numerical value inputter on an operation screen; and a numerical value inputting method controller that selects a numerical value inputting method of the numerical value inputter based on a physical display size of the numerical value inputter relative to the operation screen.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A PRINTER
A method for controlling a printer to print on a recording medium having a non-contact tag by a processor of the printer is provided. The method comprises placing the recording medium on a placement area of the printer; wireless reading, from the non-contact tag, a plurality of pieces of identification information each for identifying a specific image; detecting whether any one of a plurality operation buttons provided on the printer has been pressed by a user, wherein the pressed operation button is corresponding to one of plurality of pieces of identification information; acquiring, from a storage device provided in the printer, the specific image corresponding the one of plurality of pieces of identification information selected by the pressed operation button; and printing the specific image on the recording medium.
