An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: store document data, a first character string, and a second character string that are associated with each other, the second character string being to be inputted by an operation that has a procedure quantity smaller than a procedure quantity of an operation by which a user inputs the first character string; output the document data that is associated with the second character string to a requester of the document data when the second character string is acquired if a predetermined condition is satisfied; avoid outputting the document data that is associated with the second character string to the requester of the document data when the second character string is acquired if the condition is not satisfied; and output the document data that is associated with the first character string to the requester of the document data when the first character string is acquired if the condition is not satisfied.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores an application program for creating a workflow including processing for at least one image data. The application program includes instructions readable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The instructions, when executed by the computer, cause the information processing apparatus to: perform a search for devices connected to the information processing apparatus; receive a setting of processing of a workflow through an operation interface of the information processing apparatus; perform extraction of, from among the devices found by the search, devices capable of performing the processing of the workflow with the received setting; receive, through the operation interface, selection of a device to perform the processing of the workflow from among the devices extracted by the extraction; and create the workflow including the selected device and the received setting of the processing of the workflow.

An image forming apparatus is used in a post-payment system based on a customer's electronic money, and includes an image forming section, a communication section, and a controller. The image forming section performs a printing operation of forming an image on a sheet. The communication section performs communication so as to acquire settlement information including information that identifies the customer. The controller controls the image forming section and the communication section. A method of using an address book of an image forming apparatus on a web browser includes receiving web data in an image forming apparatus from a web server; displaying a web page corresponding to the received web data on a display unit of the image forming apparatus; receiving an input of selecting one of at least one input box comprised in the web page; analyzing a form tag corresponding to the selected input box from the web data; and displaying a virtual text input device or an address list on the display unit based on the analysis result in which the selected input box is determined as an input box for receiving an input of an email address or a phone number, wherein the virtual keyboard is capable of being synchronized with an address book of the image forming apparatus.

Systems and methods relate generally to a document processing device. In an example method thereof, a document processing device is provided having a touch screen panel and configurable for touchless execution of a job. The job is performed with the document processing device with the touchless execution. The touchless execution includes: accessing a slide presentation mode; displaying a sequence of slides on the touch screen panel in the slide presentation mode; detecting paper accessible by a detection sensor of the document processing device; stopping at a slide of the sequence of slides responsive to a detection event of the detection sensor; pausing at the slide responsive to the detection event; and executing the job with the touchless execution responsive to persistence of the detection event by the detection sensor for a set duration during the pause.

Techniques to parse an electronic document to extract a comment and topological features of the electronic document to which the comment is attached, transform the comment into one or more printing command and one or more parameters of the printing command, generate a printed document from the electronic document, and apply the printing command and parameters of the printing command specifically to the topological features to which the comment is attached when generating the printed document.
