An image forming apparatus includes a memory that stores identification information of authorized users in association with biometric information thereof, a reading device configured to read identification information from a medium, an input device through which biometric information is input, and a processor configured to, upon receipt of one of identification and biometric information, perform a first authentication by determining whether said one of identification and biometric information is stored, when said one of identification and biometric information is stored, upon receipt of the other of identification and biometric information, perform a second authentication by determining whether the other of identification and biometric information is stored in association with said one of identification and biometric information, and when the other of identification and biometric information is stored, enable a first operation that can be performed for the corresponding authorized user.

An image processing system includes an information processing apparatus and an image processing apparatus, and the information processing apparatus includes a first operation input portion that receives a first operation input, a second operation input portion that receives a second operation input, a first notification portion that performs a first notification, and a second notification portion that performs a second notification. The image processing system further includes a notification selection portion that selects at least one of the first notification portion and the second notification portion of the information processing apparatus as a destination to which a notification of a processing result regarding the image processing executed by the image processing apparatus is sent.

The first apparatus displays printer information about the printer connected to the second apparatus on a display screen based on the first information or the second information.

An image forming apparatus includes: a hardware processor that: executes processing corresponding to an instruction input via an external device; sends a first notification to the external device according to a completion of execution of the processing; and upon estimating that the execution of the processing is not completed before a timeout time, sends a second notification different from the first notification to the external device. The external device sets the timeout time for the first notification.

There is provided a speech control system including: a microphone configured to acquire speech; a speaker configured to output speech; an image processing unit; and a controller configured to control settings of the image processing unit. The controller is configured to: specify one or more setting items represented by an input speech of a user acquired by the microphone that are to be set for the image processing unit, and depending on whether or not the specified one or more setting items satisfy a reading condition, cause the speaker to output a first response speech that reads the one or more setting items, or a second response speech that does not read at least one out of the one or more setting items.

An information processing apparatus includes: a communication interface; and a control device configured to: recognize a content of voice input by utterance of a user of an image forming apparatus from a smart speaker connected via the communication interface configured to input and output voice; and in a case the recognized content of voice includes designating a template and adding data to a template, specify the data from the recognized content of voice, add the specified data to the designated template, and transmit a command for image formation to the image forming apparatus.

An information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium and for processing information are provided. The information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive image data; cause a display to display the received image data; and move, in response to a user instruction, a portion of the image data from a first place to a second place on the display. The portion of the image data is a partial region of an entire region of the image data. While the portion of the image data is being moved from the first place to the second place, the portion of the image data is displayed at the first place.
