A voice operation system includes: an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording material; a server that accepts voice information related to an operation on the image forming apparatus, and gives an operation instruction to the image forming apparatus; and a voice input/output device that converts an input voice into voice information, sends the voice information to the server, receives voice information as a response to the voice information related to the operation on the image forming apparatus, and emits a sound of the voice information, wherein the server has a hardware processor that stores information on a part of a function or configuration of the image forming apparatus, and the server determines executability of an operation associated with voice information transmitted from the voice input/output device, and causes the image forming apparatus to execute determination of executability of an operation that is not determinable.

An information processing apparatus provides multiple functions including at least a first function and a second function, to an application. The information processing apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry receives an input of a first setting value for the first function and a second setting value for the second function, the first function and the second function being used by the application to execute a flow. The circuitry, in response to an instruction to execute the flow, determines validity of the first setting value and the second setting value. The circuitry requests execution of the flow using the first setting value and the second setting value in response to a determination result indicating that the first setting value and the second setting value are valid.

An information processing apparatus includes a providing unit, an obtaining unit, and an informing unit. The providing unit provides a certain service to a user. The obtaining unit obtains identification information included in receivable radio waves. An information processing system includes a first apparatus, multiple second apparatuses, and a server. The first apparatus receives authentication information from a user and transmits the authentication information to the server. If the user has been authenticated in accordance with the authentication information, the server transmits, to the first apparatus, permission information that indicates two or more second apparatuses that the user is permitted to use from among the second apparatuses. The first apparatus stores the authentication information while transmitting the authentication information to the second apparatuses. If the authentication information indicates one of the second apparatuses, the one of the second apparatuses performs an operation related to use of the one of the second apparatuses.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing multiple scan requests received at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a scan request from a remote computing device of a remote user. Before executing the scan request, two conditions are checked. It is checked if document is present on a scanning platform of the multi-function device and further it is checked if one or more activities on a user interface of the multi-function device, are being performed. Based on the presence of the document on the scanning platform and the one or more activities on the user interface, the scan request received from the remote user is disallowed. This way, multiple scanned requests are managed at the multi-function device.

System and method for printer intrusion detection. One embodiment is a system that includes memory configured to store personnel identification data for a plurality of operator classes permitted to perform different levels of maintenance actions on a printer. The system also includes an intrusion detection controller configured to detect a presence of a person in an operating space of the printer based on image data, to analyze the image data to detect one or more characteristics of the person, to determine an operator class for the person based on a match of the detected characteristics of the person with the personnel identification data stored in the memory, and to monitor adherence to maintenance permissions by the person in a plurality of physical areas of the printer based on the operator class of the person.

An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit, comprises, registering a speed license for setting an image forming speed; controlling permitting image formation by the image forming unit in a case where the speed license is registered in the registering; and controlling permitting the image formation by the image forming unit in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied even if the speed license is unregistered in the registering.
