An image forming apparatus includes: an operation display device that includes an operation display device body, a front light emission portion and a rear light emission portion, the operation display device body including an operation display provided in one face of the operation display device body, the front light emission portion being provided on an upper side of the face of the operation display device body where the operation display is provided, the front light emission portion emitting light in accordance with a processing status, the rear light emission portion being provided on an upper side of an opposite face of the operation display device body to the operation display, the rear light emission portion emitting light in synchronization with the front light emission portion, wherein the operation display device is attached to an upper portion of a body of the image forming apparatus.

Various embodiments are directed to printing apparatuses and methods of operating the same. In various embodiments, a method of operating a printing apparatus to generate to generate an alert signal corresponding to a detected operating condition associated with the printing apparatus comprises selectively operating a drive component to generate an alert signal corresponding to a detected operating condition defined by the printing apparatus, the alert signal being defined by a vibration of the printing apparatus, wherein the drive component is configured to be operably engaged with a print media disposed within the printing apparatus such that the operation of the drive component causes a corresponding movement of the print media along a printing path defined by the printing apparatus; and wherein an operation of the drive component is defined at least in part by a rotation of the drive component in one or more rotational directions about a central axis.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a door, a first guide, a second guide configured to move from a first position to a second position, a first illumination device, and a second illumination device. The first illumination device is configured to illuminate a door side of the second guide positioned in the second position, with the door side of the second guide being closer to the door than a conveyance center line of the conveyance path in a width direction orthogonal to a sheet conveyance direction of a sheet which is conveyed in the conveyance path. The second illumination device is configured to illuminate in a direction different from a direction in which the first illumination device illuminates, and the second illumination device is configured to illuminate a space between the first guide and the second guide positioned in the second position.

An image forming apparatus (2) comprises: a consumables managing unit (42) that detects consumables exhaustion of a printing device (31), and a wireless beacon (34) that transmits a consumables exhaustion signal without specifying a receiver when the consumables exhaustion of the printing device is detected. One or plural mobile terminal apparatuses (1) comprises a wireless communication device (11) that receives the consumables exhaustion signal, and a notification device that notifies of consumables exhaustion when the consumables exhaustion signal is received.

The processor of a printer prints a setting value settable in a setting item of one in which a setting value is set on a print medium on the basis of input to an input section in a setting mode for setting a setting value in the setting item of one. If the first setting value of the setting item of one is stored in a memory, the processor causes a printing mechanism to print a first image in association with the setting value corresponding to the first setting value of the setting item of one out of the setting values to be printed. If the first setting value is not stored, the processor causes the printing mechanism to print the first image in association with the setting value corresponding to a second setting value of the setting item of one out of the setting values to be printed.

In accordance with one embodiment, an abnormality notification apparatus comprises a display device, a first drive circuit, at least one processor, a pulse generating circuit and a second drive circuit. The first drive circuit turns on the display device according to a control signal from a display control section. The processor operates according to separate programs. The pulse generating circuit outputs, during a period when a signal indicating an abnormality of any processor is input, a pulse signal corresponding to a blinking pattern for notifying the abnormality of the processor. The second drive circuit blinks the display device in response to the pulse signal output by the pulse generating circuit.

An image processing apparatus including a display unit includes a processor and a memory storing instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the image processing apparatus to function as a detection unit that detects occurrence of a sheet jammed inside the image processing apparatus and a display control unit that displays a screen based on detection of the occurrence of the jammed sheet. The screen includes a first region for displaying work that a user carries out to remove jammed sheets from inside the image processing apparatus and a second region for displaying work that the user carries out after removing the jammed sheets from inside the image processing apparatus.

A display device includes a display, a first motor, an illuminance sensor, and a processor. The display displays information. The first motor changes a direction of a display surface of the display. The processor determines a first direction corresponding to a direction from a human sensor or the display surface to the eyes of the operator based on first sensing data output from the human sensor. The processor controls the first motor so that a normal direction of the display surface is the first direction when an illuminance of light incident from the first direction included in second sensing data output from the illuminance sensor is less than a first threshold. The processor controls the first motor so that the normal direction is a second direction different from the first direction when the illuminance of light incident from the first direction is the first threshold or more.
