An image processing system capable of positively performing preview display of contents corresponding to a printed result to be obtained by executing processing based on print data. An MFP acquires a preview image generated based on the print data and bibliography information for managing specification of the print data indicated by the preview image, from a server, and transmits the acquired preview image and bibliography information to a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal performs preview display of the printed result based on the received preview image. The MFP determines whether or not the bibliography information is compatible with the apparatus information indicative of specifications of the MFP, and if the bibliography information is not compatible with the apparatus information, the MFP manipulates the preview image based on the apparatus information, and transmits the manipulated preview image to the mobile terminal.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit configured to form an image on a medium on which an image is to be formed; a placing portion capable of placing the medium; a power generator configured to generate electricity from heat generated inside the image forming unit; and an illumination unit configured to be lit with the electricity generated by the power generator and to be capable of irradiating at least the placing portion with light.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire time information as information indicating a date and a time of acquisition of image data; transmit information including the date in the acquired time information, the information serving as information indicating a storage location in a storage destination where the image data is stored when the image data is transferred to the storage destination; and transmit information including any date on or after a following day of the date, instead of transmitting the information including the date in the time information, when the image data is transferred if the time in the time information has passed a predetermined time.

A printer having a printing unit that prints an image; a light emitting unit capable of switching colors of light emission; and a processor configured to: acquire an image to be printed from an external device; detect representative colors of regions by dividing the image to be printed by the printing unit into a plurality of regions; and control light emission of the light emitting unit, wherein the processor further configured to cause the light emitting unit to switch colors of the light emission based on the representative colors of the regions in order according to a printing progress of the image to be printed by the printing unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a main power supply switch that turns on and off a main power supply, a battery that is a power source different from the main power supply, a detector that detects switching of the main power supply switch, and a first hardware processor that operates with power supplied from the battery, and provides a notification in response to the detector detecting the switching of the main power supply switch from on to off.

A system for providing print device dynamic status indicator feedback includes a print device, and a status indicator feedback unit. The print device includes a print engine and one or more status monitors. The status indicator feedback unit includes a display device, a light emitting module, a processor in communication with the light emitting module, and a computer-readable medium containing programming instructions. The system may receive information corresponding to one or more current machine states of the print device from the one or more status monitors of the print device, determine a priority level associated with each of the one or more current machine states, identify a machine state associated with a highest priority level, identify a dynamic feedback pattern associated with the identified machine state. The dynamic feedback pattern includes a visual pattern. The system may and instruct the light emitting module to emit the visual pattern.
