An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion configured to form an image on a sheet; a mounting portion on which an IC card reader which includes a lighting portion where light indicating an operation state comes on and which is used for user authentication is mounted; a reader cover mounted on the mounting portion and covering the IC card reader, wherein the reader cover is provided with a plurality of openings, either one of the openings opposing the lighting portion of the IC card reader; and a light transmission sheet provided on the reader cover and covering the openings, wherein transmittance of visible light for the light transmission sheet is 5% or more and 25% or less.

A document processing device comprises an input module used to obtain paper feed information, a human-computer interaction interface and a processor. The processor executes a document processing mode according to command information after the human-computer interaction interface received the command information. Thereby, the document processing device can provide the interactive prompt information in real time according to the paper feed information, prompt a user to perform corresponding operations and achieve the purpose of improving operational efficiency and ease of use of the document processing device.

An apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to identify a user who is operating the apparatus provided with the processor and execute display control involving controlling display of a notification related to a process executed by the apparatus on a display device provided in the apparatus in accordance with whether or not the identified user is a commander who has given a command for executing the process.

Systems and methods are provided for reviewing images. One embodiment is a system in the form of an image review device that includes a display, an interface that receives images of print media marked by a printer, and a controller that generates notifications based upon the images, assigns the notifications to types based upon the images, and generates a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that presents the notifications via the display, wherein the GUI comprises a carousel that includes a detail area which presents a single notification at a time, a summary area that presents visual indicators that correspond with the notifications, and interactive elements for advancing the detail area to a next notification and for returning the detail area to a prior notification. The controller automatically controls at least one of a color or a shape of each visual indicator to indicate a type of a corresponding notification.

An information processing apparatus includes a controller. The controller performs control such that, when a logged-in user is located within a first predetermined range from the apparatus, a second user approaching the apparatus is notified that the apparatus is in use.

A document feeder includes a document placing tray on which a document is placed; a document discharging tray on which a document discharged from a document discharging port in a discharging direction is stacked; and a light source that radiates light to the document discharging tray. The document discharging tray is disposed below the document placing tray. The document discharging tray has a protruding portion protruding upward from the surrounding area. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, an output unit, a light source, and a processor. The image forming unit creates a printed material by forming an image on paper. The output unit outputs the printed material to an output tray. The light source is provided such that lit light is viewable from outside the image forming apparatus. The processor is configured to receive a print job for creating the printed material by the image forming unit, and perform control such that the light source is lit in a first lighting pattern in a case where a printed material of a print job for a single user has been output to the output tray and the light source is lit in a second lighting pattern in a case where printed materials of print jobs for multiple users have been output to the output tray.
