An image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus; a post-processing apparatus that includes post-processors corresponding to at least two post-processes and perform the at least two post-processes stepwise on paper on which an image is formed by the image forming apparatus; a setting receiver that receives post-processing settings corresponding to the at least two post-processes; and a hardware processor that determines whether or not the at least two post-processes are executable based on the post-processing settings corresponding to the at least two post-processes and that, in a case where it is determined that the at least two post-processes are not executable, when a post-processing setting corresponding to one of the at least two post-processes is a setting including numerical value input, provides notification regarding a numerical value input setting change in the post-processing setting corresponding to the one post-processing.

An image forming apparatus includes a first ejection destination to which a recording medium is ejected, and a second ejection destination disposed at a position which is less visually recognized from a surrounding user than the first ejection destination; a memory; and a processor configured to perform control to turn on a first light emitting unit disposed at a position where a visually recognizable range from surroundings is wider than the second ejection destination, in a case where a recording medium ejected to the second ejection destination is left.

An image forming apparatus includes a display having a function of editing input image data and a function of displaying page images immediately after reading in order. When a first type of instruction to change shape of an image formed on a recording medium is given, the edition is not reflected on a document display mode screen image, and when a second type of instruction to edit page by page the recording medium having images formed thereon is given, the edition is reflected on the document display mode screen image. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming mechanism, a panel serving as a user interface of the image forming mechanism, a receiver that receives an image forming instruction for the image forming mechanism from a user of an information processing apparatus, and a display controller that controls the panel to display, in response to the receiver receiving the image forming instruction, a message about management of a license related to software installed in the information processing apparatus by referring to management information of the software.

An apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to identify a user who is operating the apparatus provided with the processor and execute display control involving controlling display of a notification related to a process executed by the apparatus on a display device provided in the apparatus in accordance with whether or not the identified user is a commander who has given a command for executing the process.
