The present invention provides an information processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The information processing apparatus has a console unit that accepts an instruction by a user via a button displayed on a screen. The information processing apparatus registers a setting for executing processing corresponding to the button, prompts a user to input identification information to be added to image data generated by a function corresponding to the button, and when the button is instructed via the console unit, the information processing apparatus outputs the image data to which the identification information has been added to a destination corresponding to the setting which is registered in association with the button.

An image forming apparatus includes a setting unit, a displaying unit, a receiving unit, and a printing unit. The setting unit accepts designation of source information from a user and set the accepted source information in association with an object. The displaying unit displays the object. The receiving unit receives image data from an external apparatus. The printing unit prints an image on a sheet based on the image data received by the receiving unit. Upon selection of the object displayed on the displaying unit, the printing unit prints an image on a sheet based on the image data from among the image data received by the receiving unit, that is received from an external apparatus having source information corresponding to the source information associated with the object.

An information processing apparatus includes: a transmission unit that transmits an object to a particular external device connected to the apparatus; and a guidance output unit that predicts a setting item that should be changed in a case where the object is not transmitted to the particular external device, and that outputs guidance information that suggests changing the setting item.

An image forming apparatus and a method to normally execute an application using a function, which is not supported by the image forming apparatus, on the image forming apparatus are provided. An example image forming apparatus includes a user interface device to receive an execution request of an application using a first function and replace an execution request of the first function according to the execution request of the application with an execution request of a second function corresponding to the first function, a controller to generate an execution command of the second function according to the execution request of the second function, and a second function unit to execute the second function according to the execution command.

An information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium and for processing information are provided. Systems, methods, and devices are configured to manage the language used for documentation in a multi-function device (MFD). They include providing a message to a user, the message comprising a selection to choose a language as part of the initialization of the MFD. They also include receiving an input including the language chosen by the user. They further include determining if the language chosen by the user matches a default language in the MFD and modifying code associated with settings in electronic documentation to enable use of the language chosen by the user during the initialization in place of the default language in the electronic documentation when it is determined that the language chosen by the user does not match the default language, the electronic documentation providing information to the user for operation of the MFD.

The system includes a memory and circuit. The memory is configured to store information relating to a setting item of the web application, and store a setting value to be set to the setting item. The circuitry is configured to generate a setting screen based on the information relating to the setting item and the setting value, and update the setting value stored in the memory based on an instruction for configuring settings relating to an operation screen of the web application that is displayed at the electronic apparatus, the instruction being accepted through the setting screen being displayed to the terminal apparatus.
