The present invention provides an information processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The information processing apparatus has a console unit that accepts an instruction by a user via a button displayed on a screen. An image forming apparatus having a plurality of functions registers, as setting information on a display button corresponding to the application, setting information including settings with which at least two of the plurality of functions are used, generates the display button corresponding to the application, the display button corresponding to each function included in the setting information, based on the registered setting information, and displays the generated display button on a screen. When the display button is selected via the screen, the image forming apparatus executes the application corresponding to the selected display button, based on the setting information corresponding to the selected button.

An information processing apparatus includes first processing circuitry; and a first memory storing computer-executable instructions that cause the first processing circuitry to: accept, by an application, an instruction to cause an image forming apparatus to execute image processing; give, by a print framework, an instruction to execute the image processing to the image forming apparatus; and cause, by a first function providing application, the print framework to give the instruction to execute the image processing to the image forming apparatus, upon receiving a call from the application.

An information processing apparatus includes a control circuit configured to operate as a setting tool that performs setting of an application installed in a client device by executing a setting tool program. The setting tool includes an application setter and a server synchronizer. The application setter is configured to perform setting of an application in a client device. The server synchronizer is configured to synchronously register the client device on which setting has been performed by the application setter in a server apparatus that manages a client device which is provided with a function of the application with the setting performed on the client device by the application setter as a trigger.
