A display instruction is received from a user to display a procedure for replacing the container. A display unit is caused to display the container replacing procedure based on receiving the display instruction. In a case where it is determined that the container replacing procedure is displayed on the display unit, performing control includes performing control to prevent a notification, prompting the user to close the cover, from being issued even if the cover is opened.

A data processing apparatus is configured to receive a selection of a first function and search for one or more devices which has the capability to perform that first function. The apparatus may then receive a selection of the one or more devices for performing that first function and, in conjunction, determine whether the selected device has the capability to execute a second function. The device identification data may be stored. Subsequently, if the selected device is determined to be capable of executing the second function, which is different from the first function selected, and the second function is further selected, the previously selected device may be displayed as having the capability to execute the selected second function. Otherwise, the apparatus does not display the previously selected device as being able to execute the selected second function.

The image forming device includes a touch panel that accepts a user operation while presenting an operation screen, and a controller that controls the operation screen of the touch panel. At least some of the usage services provided by the image forming device require operation of a reception device (document reader, media reader, QR code reader, or NFC card reader) provided in the image forming device, or connected to the image forming device. When a reception device is operated before an operation setting for usage service selection is performed on the touch panel, the controller switches to an operation screen that shows a preferential display of a usage service which is applicable to the reception device that has been operated.

The information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive image data; cause a display to display the received image data; and move, in response to a user instruction, a portion of the image data from a first place to a second place on the display. The portion of the image data is a partial region of an entire region of the image data. While the portion of the image data is being moved from the first place to the second place, the portion of the image data is displayed at the first place.

A data processing apparatus is configured to receive a selection of a first function and search for one or more devices which has the capability to perform that first function. The apparatus may then receive a selection of the one or more devices for performing that first function and, in conjunction, determine whether the selected device has the capability to execute a second function. The service providing system stores in one or more memories, application settings information indicating settings of one or more setting items for each application, sets a setting item to be displayed on a setting screen for setting application to non-display, and in response to determination that the setting item set to non-display is included in the one or more setting items of the application settings information, switch a display setting of the setting item from non-display to display, to cause the setting item to be displayed on the setting screen.

If generating layout information indicating a layout of a screen of a client application program for providing, by an image forming apparatus, a function of a document processing flow execution system, when a flow execution button for executing a document processing flow is arranged in the layout, the appliance setting apparatus acquires a list of document processing flows from the document processing flow execution system, displays at least a part of the document processing flows included in the acquired list onto the display unit, associates the document processing flow selected via an operating unit from among the displayed workflows, with the flow execution button, and installs the generated layout information on the image forming apparatus.
