A multifunction device includes a scanner and a printer disposed below the scanner. The scanner includes a support surface configured to support a document, and a scanning unit configured to scan the document supported by the support surface. The scanning unit includes a sensor including a plurality of reading elements arranged in a main scanning direction, and a moving member holding the sensor and configured to move in a sub-scanning direction. The scanner is connected to the printer pivotably, about a first axis extending in a first direction, between a first position at which the scanner conceals an upper portion of the printer, and a second position at which the scanner exposes the upper portion of the printer. In response to the moving member moving in the sub-scanning direction, a responsive mechanism shifts the lock mechanism between an operative state in which the lock mechanism restricts pivoting of the scanner relative to the printer, and an inoperative state in which the lock mechanism permits pivoting of the scanner relative to the printer.

A housing of the scanner includes a side surface near the first axis and extending along the first direction and along a second direction perpendicular to a document support surface of the scanner, and an accommodating portion recessed in a third direction which is from the side surface toward the scanning unit. The first support portion includes a first end portion at which the first pivot portion is located, and a second end portion which includes an accommodated portion. The accommodated portion is accommodated in the accommodating portion of the housing.

The first virtual vertical plane is defined as a virtual vertical plane, on which a widthwise inner end of a first hinge portion is disposed, and which is perpendicular to a rotational center axis of the first hinge portion. The second virtual vertical plane is defined as a virtual vertical plane, on which a widthwise inner end of the second hinge portion is disposed, and which is perpendicular to a rotational center axis of the second hinge portion.

The second sliding surface presses the slide member back in a direction of opening of the openable body. The third sliding surface presses the slide member back in the direction of closing of the openable body.

Print device

A print device includes a housing, a lid body, an input device, and a mounting portion. An opening is formed in an upper portion of the housing. The lid body opens and closes the opening of the housing by a second end portion side of the lid body pivoting around a predetermined rotation axis provided at a first end portion of the lid body. The mounting portion is provided on an upper portion of the lid body when the opening is closed. The input device can be attached to and detached from the mounting portion along a predetermined attachment/detachment direction with respect to the lid body. The attachment/detachment direction is orthogonal to an extending direction of a tangent line. The tangent line is tangential to a circumferential direction of the rotation axis at a position of the second end portion of the lid body.
