IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device includes: a first reading unit including a reading surface for reading a first surface of a medium transported through a transport path in a transport direction; a second reading unit disposed downstream of the first reading unit and configured to read a second surface; a first transport roller pair disposed upstream of the first reading unit and configured to transport the medium; and a second transport roller pair disposed between the first reading unit and the second reading unit and configured to transport the medium, in which a tangent-line direction at a first nipping position at which the first transport roller pair nips the medium heads toward a position upstream of the reading surface of the first reading unit in the transport direction, and a tangent-line direction at a second nipping position at which the second transport roller pair nips the medium heads toward a position upstream of the reading surface of the second reading unit in the transport direction.
MEDIUM DISCHARGE DEVICE AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A medium discharge device includes a discharge part that discharges a medium, a placement part that has a placement surface on which the medium discharged from the discharge part is placed and that is extendable or contractable in a direction along the placement surface, and an extension and contraction change part that extends or contracts the placement part. The placement part includes a base tray and an auxiliary tray that is movable in an extension and contraction direction relative to the base tray. The extension and contraction change part is configured to extend or contract the placement part according to a size of the medium.
SHEET DISCHARGING DEVICE AND SHEET POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS THEREWITH, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A protruding member is supported so as to be reciprocatable between a protrusion position and a retraction position. The protrusion position is where the protruding member protrudes from a discharge port to above a stacking tray and brings, into contact with its top surface, the leading edge of a sheet discharged by a pair of discharging rollers to guide it in the discharging direction. The retraction position is where the protruding member is retracted from above the stacking tray. A moving mechanism has a supporting holder movably holding the protruding member and makes the held protruding member move between the protrusion position and the retraction position. A sensing portion sensing whether the protruding member is in the retraction position is disposed in the supporting holder.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A downstream-side guide member is disposed along a region located further downstream with respect to a downstream adjacent region adjacent to a reading region on a first surface of a transparent plate member on the downstream side. An upstream-side adhesive layer is formed in an upstream adjacent region adjacent to the reading region on an upstream side. Downstream-side adhesive layers are formed in the downstream adjacent region and on a surface of the downstream-side guide member. A transparent sheet is bonded to the first surface of the transparent plate member and the surface of the downstream-side guide member by the upstream-side adhesive layer and the downstream-side adhesive layers. The upstream-side adhesive layer and the downstream-side adhesive layers form a gap between the reading region on the transparent plate member and the transparent sheet.
ILLUMINATION DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INSPECTION DEVICE, AND ILLUMINATION METHOD
An illumination device includes a first light source and a second light source. The first light source irradiates an irradiation region with a first light in a first direction. The second light source is disposed opposite to the first light source to irradiate the irradiation region with a second light in a second direction. The first light is overlapped with the second light in the irradiation region. The first light has a wavelength different from the second light.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a document conveyer that conveys a document to a reader. The document conveyer includes a discharger that discharges the document, and a stacker that forms a stacking surface on which the document discharged by the discharger is stacked. The stacking surface has a first inclining surface having an upward gradient along a discharge direction in which the document is discharged; and a second inclining surface located downstream from the first inclining surface in the discharge direction. The stacking surface is provided with a projection protruding upward from the stacking surface and extending along the discharge direction. The projection is so formed that the projection has an upward gradient along the discharge direction and extends throughout the first inclining surface and the second inclining surface.
DOCUMENT CONVEYING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND DOCUMENT CONVEYING METHOD
In a document conveying apparatus, a stop processing portion executes a stop process to stop a document conveying operation by a conveying mechanism in a case in which a second detection processing portion determines that an amount of documents placed on the document discharge unit has reached a specific amount. The stop processing portion, in a case in which a first detection processing portion detects that no document is placed on the document discharge portion when the specific job is started, limits execution of the stop process during execution of the specific job.
