Cabinet and image forming system
A cabinet includes a first area and a second area arranged in a horizontal direction, an image forming apparatus, and a reading device. The image forming apparatus is accommodated in the first area and forms an image on a sheet and ejects the sheet with the image. The reading device is accommodated in the second area of the cabinet and reads an image of a document. At least a part of the reading device is pulled out from an internal space of the cabinet in a direction orthogonal to the horizontal direction in which the first area and the second area are arranged in a horizontal plane.
TRANSPORT APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A transport apparatus includes: an apparatus body; an opening and closing unit attached to the apparatus body so as to be openable and closable between a closed position where an upper surface of the apparatus body is covered and an open position where the upper surface of the apparatus body is exposed, the opening and closing unit including, inside the opening and closing unit, a transport path along which a target material is transported; a transport path member that has a transport path surface constituting a part of the transport path, is rotatably supported by the opening and closing unit at one end portion side of the transport path member, and is configured such that the transport path is opened when the other end portion side of the transport path member moves downward from the opening and closing unit; and a hook portion that is rotatably attached to the other end portion side of the transport path member, is configured to hold the transport path member in a closed state of the transport path, in a hooked state in which the hook portion is hooked on a hooked portion of the opening and closing unit, based on a force applied toward a first rotation direction along which the hook portion is hooked to the hooked portion, and is configured to rotate in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction by coming into contact with the hooked portion while the transport path member is pushed upward by the upper surface of the apparatus body when the opening and closing unit is moved from the open position to the closed position in a non-hooked state in which the hook portion is not hooked on the hooked portion.
DOCUMENT FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document feeder constituting an image forming apparatus includes a paper feeder to supply a document to a document transport path, a first transporter to transport the document toward image reading positions, and a second transporter to transport the document toward the document discharging tray while supplying the document to the image reading positions. Furthermore, the document feeder includes a motor provided on the first frame, a first driver provided on the first frame and to transmit driving force generated by the motor to the paper feeder and the first transporter, a second driver provided on the second frame and to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second transporter, and a second driver to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second transporter, and a relay transmission member to transmit the driving force generated by the motor to the second driver.
MEDIUM TRANSPORT APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
In a scanner, a medium transport apparatus includes an apparatus main body including a medium transport path from a supply unit, which supplies a medium, to a discharge unit, which discharges the medium, a switcher that switches an attitude of the apparatus main body with respect to a mounting surface on which the apparatus main body is mounted, and a controller that, when the attitude of the apparatus main body with respect to the mounting surface is switched, performs control in accordance with the attitude after the switching.
SHEET CONVEYANCE APPARATUS AND IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a conveyance guide, a driven rotary member, and a support portion. The support portion supports a shaft portion of the rotary member driven to rotate by a sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit and guided by the conveyance guide. The support portion includes first and second contact portions that support the shaft portion of the driven rotary member while being in contact with the shaft portion. With respect to a cross section of the shaft portion perpendicular to an axial direction of the shaft portion, the driven rotary member is disposed so that a portion, of the driven rotary member, that is on a lower side in a vertical direction relative to a horizontal line and is on one side in a horizontal direction relative to a vertical line comes into contact with the sheet.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image reading apparatus connected to a conveying apparatus to convey a recording medium to which a toner image is fixed includes a conveying unit and a reading unit having a transparent member, a reading sensor, a housing supporting, and a fan. The conveying unit receives the recording medium discharged from the conveying apparatus and conveys the recording medium. The reading unit is positioned downstream of the conveying unit in a conveying direction of the recording medium. The reading sensor read a housing supporting image information about an image on the recording medium through the transparent member. The housing supports the reading sensor and defines, together with the transparent member, an accommodation space configured to accommodate the reading sensor. The fan is positioned in the accommodation space and circulates air in the accommodation space.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus including image reading device
An image reading device reads two types of documents, a first document having a first size and a second document having a second size larger than the first size. A controller of the device causes the first document reader to read the first document and generate image data when the operation unit accepts a command. The first document reader reads a portion of the second document and generates image data on tilt of the second document when the operation unit accepts a command. The document tilt detector detects tilt of the second document based on the image data for detecting tilt of the second document. The document transporter stops transport of the second document when the document tilt detector detects tilt of the second document. The second document reader reads the second document and generates image data when the document tilt detector detects no tilt of the second document.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a tray having a plurality of sheets, a feeder to successively convey sheets stacked on the tray, a controller, and a double-feed sensor to detect double feed when the feeder conveys a plurality of sheets in an overlapping manner. When a double-feed length, which corresponds to a length, in a conveyance direction of the sheet, of a region in which the double feed has been detected by the double-feed sensor, is larger than a predetermined distance, the controller determines that the double feed has occurred. When the double-feed length is smaller than the predetermined distance and a sheet size is smaller than a predetermined size, the controller determines that the double feed has occurred. When the double-feed length is smaller than the predetermined distance and the sheet size is larger than the predetermined size, the controller determines that the double feed has not occurred.
