DOCUMENT READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document reading apparatus includes a stacking portion on which a plurality of documents are stacked, a feeding unit configured to feed the plurality of documents in a feeding direction, a reading unit configured to read the documents, a drive source configured to drive the feeding unit, and a control unit configured to execute a mode in which the plurality of documents having different sizes are fed by the feeding unit and read by the reading unit. The control unit is configured to control the drive source in the mode such that the feeding unit feeds a first document at a first feeding speed, and the feeding unit feeds a second document following the first document at a second feeding speed higher than the first feeding speed in a case where the width of the first document is larger than a predetermined width.
Document Imaging System and Method for Imaging Documents
A system is provided for processing documents. In particular, the system incorporates a feeder for feeding documents to a device for further processing of the documents. For instance, the system finds particular application in the field of document imaging in which a variety of documents of varying sizes and orientation are to be fed to an imaging system, such as a document scanner. The system may provide a sorting station that receives documents from a workstation and sorts the documents to a plurality of sort locations. The system may export the image data for the documents to a fileserver so that a remote operator can provide instructions for the processing of the documents so that the documents can be subsequently processed according to the instructions provided by the operator.
Inspection system, information processing apparatus, and control method for controlling the same
An inspection system inspects a grade of a print product based on comparison between a scanned image obtained by scanning a print product and a reference image, receives a first mode that does not switch a sheet discharge destination of the print product regardless of an inspection result of the print product or a second mode that switches the sheet discharge destination of the print product according to the inspection result of the print product is received through a screen, and controls the sheet discharge destination of the print product based on the received mode and the inspection result.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE CAPABLE OF SWITCHING CONVEYANCE ROUTE OF SHEET, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND SHEET CONVEYING METHOD
A sheet conveying device includes a reception processing portion and a conveyance control portion. The reception processing portion receives an input operation to input conveyance route information that indicates which of a first conveyance route, leading to a first discharge portion via a first conveyance path that extends straight from a sheet placement portion, and a second conveyance route, leading to a second discharge portion, which is different from the first discharge portion, via a second conveyance path that includes a curved portion branching off from the first conveyance path, each sheet included in a sheet stack placed on the sheet placement portion is conveyed along. The conveyance control portion sequentially conveys each sheet included in the sheet stack placed on the sheet placement portion along either the first conveyance route or the second conveyance route according to the conveyance route information input through the input operation.
IMAGE READING CONTROL METHOD, IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A conveying device can selectively execute discharge processes of a plurality of discharge procedures each having a different mode of discharge to a discharge tray. An image reading portion reads images on document sheets conveyed along a conveyance path and outputs data about read images. An image reading control method includes detecting a target image that satisfies a predetermined sorting condition associated with any one of the plurality of discharge procedures from the read images. The image reading control method further includes, in a case where the target image is detected, executing a discharge control that causes the conveying device to execute the discharge process of the discharge procedure corresponding to the target image.
IMAGE INSPECTOR AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCORPORATING THE IMAGE INSPECTOR
An image inspector includes a recording device and circuitry. The reading device is configured to read an image on a recording medium. The circuitry is configured to determine whether the recording medium has a wrinkle and an edge folding based on a plurality of positions on the image on the recording medium read by the reading device satisfying a predetermined relation. The circuitry is configured to determine whether the recording medium has the wrinkle based on the predetermined relation, and then determine whether the recording medium has the edge folding based on the predetermined relation.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a first ejection destination to which a recording medium is ejected, and a second ejection destination disposed at a position which is less visually recognized from a surrounding user than the first ejection destination; a memory; and a processor configured to perform control to turn on a first light emitting unit disposed at a position where a visually recognizable range from surroundings is wider than the second ejection destination, in a case where a recording medium ejected to the second ejection destination is left.
Sheet reading apparatus for detecting the shadow of a conveyed sheet to determine an inclination
A sheet reading apparatus includes a sheet table on which a sheet is placed, a conveyor configured to convey the sheet, a reading guide configured to guide the sheet conveyed by the conveyor, and a reading device configured to read a shadow of the sheet conveyed by the conveyor, for detection of an inclination of the sheet. The sheet reading apparatus further includes a transparent member disposed at a position on a reading line of the reading device. The position on the reading line is withdrawn from the sheet and adjacent to the reading guide.
