The input unit inputs information, wherein a type of printing medium on which recording is to be performed by the recording unit has a first reference range which is the characteristic reference range of the type and corresponds to the input information. The extension unit extends the first reference range.

The continuing is performed when the determination result indicates that the conveyance of the original document is impossible.

The method includes causing a media hub to retract a media in a retract direction along a media path. Furthermore, the method includes monitoring the first signal to detect at least one of a leading edge or a trailing edge of a label of the plurality of labels. Upon detecting the at least one of the leading edge or the trailing edge of the label, causing the media hub to retract the media by at least a predetermined distance, wherein the predetermined distance is a distance between the print head and the first media sensor.

The conveyance controller performs high-speed control for causing a conveyance speed of the second conveyor to exceed a conveyance speed of the first conveyor when a specific sheet different from a normal sheet is fed by the feeder.
