An adjustment value setting unit sets adjustment value information during image formation while feeding the selected print sheet and a database setting unit sets, in association with each other, the attribute of the selected sheet feeding cassette, the selected sheet data about the print sheet, and the set adjustment value information. The database setting unit allows setting to one piece of sheet data adjustment value information about each sheet feeding cassette selected by the sheet feeding cassette selection unit.

The image forming apparatus includes the reading device, and an image forming device configured to form an image corrected by the corrector of the reading device on a recording medium. The method includes reading the image in the first wavelength.

An image reading device includes a transparent member unit including a transparent member, an opposing member opposed to the transparent member, and a reading mechanism. The reading mechanism irradiates the opposing member and a medium being conveyed between the transparent member and the opposing member with light through the transparent member and receive reflected light from the opposing member and the medium. The reading mechanism includes a position adjuster to which the transparent member unit is secured and a guide to guide the transparent member unit in a direction intersecting a direction of conveyance of the medium to detachably attach the transparent member unit to the reading mechanism. The position adjuster changes a position at which the transparent member unit is secured with respect to the reading mechanism. The transparent member unit is secured to the position adjuster.

An image reading apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a platen glass on which a document is placed; a light source, an image sensor; an image reading unit for optically reading an image of a reading area of the image sensor; a rotatable document cover for covering the platen glass; a cover state detection unit for the document cover; a control unit to detect a sensor output level of the image sensor; and a document size specification unit for the document. The control unit causes the image reading unit to perform a reading operation for specifying the size of the document in the main scanning direction in a state in which the document cover is open, and causes the light source to emit a predetermined light amount in the reading operation, which is larger than the light amount when the document image is read from the document.
